Hey together,
I have two rigs with each 6x RX580 cards. It was just a hobby project some time ago, but I want to get them back on the track.

I just wonder what to mine at the moment.
The most obvious should be just ETH, right? But is it still worth? And what pools would you recommend?

I know the website whattomine.com but don't know a lot about the most profitable coins.

Have you some recommendations? What are you mining at the moment with your GPU miners?

Cheers.

ETH or ETC would be good.
You should use a big pool like https://ethermine.org, they support both coins.
Try Claymore or Phoenix Miner.

Well I am guessing you shut them down for a reason and it was mostly due to the low ETH price. Right now the ETH price is even lower than when you shut them down most likely so the situation is not really any better.

Basically ever since BTC broke the 2018 support at $6000 it lead to many miners, ASIC or GPU to shut down their rigs entirely because its just not worth it.

Go to WTM and check if the profits is worth it, but unless you got free or very cheap <0.05c kwh power, then its not worth the headache.
Just wait until the markets improve and maybe we will get ProgPOW for ETH soon.

ETH's one of the better options you have for sure with 580s; most other coins that you can mine with the 580s don't have great volume for exchanging and/or have unstable rates of profitability. Doing a quick search on WTM with the 580s shows plain ETH being one of the top options for 580s, though Energi shows up as being slightly more profitable.

I was personally mining ETH before I shut down my GPU rigs a bit more than a month ago. We're slowly grinding out of the bear market we're in, but I still don't forsee mining becoming more profitable in the short to medium term.

Ethereum or ETC will be good to mine with this cards according to whattomine and coin calculators from here https://www.coincalculators.io/

But it is much better if you can test other algo and find which coins is much profitable to mine with this card.

Calculators online is not accurate so testing all cards to other algo and coins will give you better option which coin is better to mine with this card.

For the moment Eth , Etc or X16R should be the most profitable coins to mine. Calculators website gives you a hint of how better calculates each algorithm but you yourself conduct the definitive test to see which algo is better. I think that the three are mentioned are the best to mine with the rx series.

You can try our Ethashpool, mine what is most profitable at the time (ETH, ETC, ETP) and auto convert it back to BTC or ETH for hodling!
