While I am also a huge fan of ethereum, I do not like losing money as well, I hold ethereum a lot but I also a practical guy, I bought yesterday, set stop loss and the dump today traggered my sell order and I have already bought back and could continue the process. Ethereum has given blockchain a lot but the price these days isn't encouraging at all.

Trading the volatile cryptocurrencies have such consequences. You made an intelligent choice with buying back the same amount of ETH after the price drop. Some traders prefer to wait for the price restoration and they lose time for reaching the old break-even point of balance.

Ethereum is still strong enough and it will definitely grow when the bull market comes. But I don't think it will dominate the market like it did before. There are too many strong projects now.

therefore if we want to get good results from ethereum then from now on the chance to hold ethereum is great because the coin is a very fast coin to experience growth so ethereum is also one of the altcoins that are highly trusted by large investors

Chances are low to get the best result for the short term investing. The price is down more than 10 times and the recovery outcome is under 20%, unfortunately. I prefer to invest in the small market cap altcoins than investing in the Ethereum. Everyone dreams about the $2000 per ETH but no one thinks concerning the correction of the current market price.

I have couple of ethereum holders as friend and right now they are in worries about the upcoming hardfork ,well this is my opinion
-the upcoming hardfork is just an upgrade ,don't expect extra coins for holding ETH
-its ethereum damn it, If you are thinking it might lose value after the upgrade you are wrong ,I don't say its impossible but of all coins out there ETH stands out ,its no shit coin and remember the dev is a smart guy ,he knows what's best ,either it goes POS or not ETH is still a champ

I agree that ethereum is not shitcoin like the others. Ethereum still has large transactions on the market and I think the price will break through $ 500 at the end of the year. Maybe there are many new coins that are competitors for ethereum but with a solid team, I think ethereum can be a long-term investment

I think people need to accept bitcoin for what it is now, I mean utility coin, and not expecting to be holding it as an investment coin. Ethereum has only one product and right now, the product is not really having it well, so I think we better just be using it as payment tool to send and receive money since it has a cheap transaction fee, and it also have a reliable and a stable coin.

If you picture it the way I do picture Ethereum, I think it is even better the way it is not having much of volatility because people can rely on it to make heavy payment and even salaries since it does not fluctuate like every other coins in the market. Binance is already taking over chain that usually announces them, and we also have other projects too that are already competing in this area.

I think your friends are misinformed they do not know the history and strongpoint of Ethereum, it's like Bitcoin that will never die, they have a very good platform and enjoy good support from the community, it's going to be their loss if they are going to sell their Ethereum.

I think you're correct,
 only those who bought ethereum higher  than its current Price are the ones in panic. But after the hardfork I expect good news to follow.

only newbies don't know how potential ethereum is... the price of ethereum will not dump if hardfork is happening, I believe this altcoin good to hold for long term.

I know that this coin is extracted a lot, inflation is more than 4% per year. It’s possible that Ethereum will have competitors and we won’t see any price increase here.

I think fork is an effort to improve the quality of tokens/coin, here we are talking about ETH, I think ETH Fork will benefit every ETH user, we know ETH has many shortcomings, so the wisest hope is to hope that Fork will make ETH better, so hope just hoping to get an extra token on the fork.

Eth is still a coin am holding for a very long time. You see ethereum and Bitcoin, any good investors will do well to have a lot bags of them. I know many panicked during the last ethereum fork especially the newbies but what happene, the project is still in gear. The developers of ethereum are at top speed, not like they control the market to determine the value. Hold for long term, my humble advice.
