You can have 98% win chance and win most of the games but when it comes to calculating the average loss expectation you will still lose 1% house edge as always. The competition doesn't seem difficult there's not a lot of rules to follow other than posting the betid with your username. If you check their forum's challenges it's much harder since the rules are more specific than the ones on vk. There's no reason to increase the reward since any bet amount is eligible it's only difficult for those who don't have enough bankroll or haven't made any deposit recently.

Mathematically they made profit but I do not think that the profit is that much. Continuing the contest is not about the profit only but it is also a part of the promotion that they need to do to compete with other gambling sites. It is not necessarily so. With so much given away as prizes, I think it's good if their profit during the contest wasn't negative. It's a promotional contest, and normally gambling sites don't make money with those. It's run for the sake of promotion.
