Another contest we've got there and the length is within approximately 4 days. 1st - 10th place sure got a nice allocation for the pool.
But aim for 1st - 7th place.
There is no guarantee that you can make more profit if you are in higher rank. Many times a gambler who wins the 10th place profits more than the first winner. Shouldn't be greedy for bigger prizes. It can cost the gambler much more than the prize. |

Of course it is shared amongst all 50 participants, but the vast majority of the coins are split between the top 3 players. I think it all depends on how you gamble and how much money you have. Even a small timer like me could get into top 10 if we are talking about the 1 day one, the 3 day one looks a bit more difficult obviously but does it really worth it? That is the real question.
Yes, I can find like 50k satoshi somewhere and try to play with 10k satoshi on 99% win chance and what not and even if I lose what are the odds of me losing 5 times in a row without making at least 10k profit and then losing that as well, I would probably reach to top 10 before that happens, maybe I won't but at least it does worth a try if you ask me. However does it really worth it? I feel like it wouldn't really worth the hassle, if you are a whale that has at least 0.1 or more than you can try but if not then it is better to leave it to them.

There is no exact math formula to calculate how much we can wager based on our starting bankroll. It will always depend on his strategy and obviously depend on his luck. He may not even wager more than 4btc if he is unlucky but he may wager more than 10 or even 20btc if he is lucky enough while wagering. The main challenge will be on the last hour or even minutes as usual when whales come and wager big amount to overtake our position who are wagering every single day. |

I guess giving out the biggest prizes to the top 3 makes sense, its not an adjusting prize its actually a set prize so if (won't happen but giving an example) the top wagerer ends with 0.5 then they are losing a ton of money right? Now, we all know there will be at least 5+ and probably even 10+ but that doesn't mean windice could risk that.
They could make some sort of adjusting one where the top person makes 0.1% or whatever back and what not and that means they are still getting profit from the house edge and the gambler has a lower house edge so both parts win, then it doesn't matter if top wagerer is 1 btc or 100 btc. However, the risk is this way if top wagerer wagers a lot then they would earn a lot more than they give out so the top 3 is the most important in this system.

It would be better if you do not aim for the prize of the competition. Focusing too much to compete for the prize of the competition may lead you to something bad, so you need to be realistic as well.
I understand you guys but you don't know what's on the mind of other participants. They wouldn't join a contest if they don't have any intention of winning and aiming for a nicer prize potential but as the prizes stated, they have an idea on how much they would get if they will put the most from them. 19 hours left for the contest, good luck everybody. |

It is I think not to do with statistics (statistics show how chance translates into likelihood) here and even so,,, you are wrong. It does not lower the house edge. It makes up for it. So in your example, the prize of 0.1 BTC will make up for the house edge, so the guy is break even, not positive. If he has a referrer then the house is in negative. |

There is still some time to go that is why we haven't seen anything big yet. Usually the whales try to just get in at the last moment, sometimes too last moment because all of them rush at the last moments and sometimes even when they have the money for it some people end up in place they don't want to because they run out of time.
So, let's wait another 24 hours or so and see what the results will be like but I am guaranteeing there will be at least one 10+ btc somewhere, maybe 2 of them as well if yoloer comes back, dude played here for a while but the last one he wasn't around and on this one he is not around neither, if he comes back at the last second then it is all good but if he doesn't then rodolman still doesn't have any rivals and he would probably end up with low btc and good reward.
