Thankfully, I realized my mistake and now I don't gamble that much, for couple years I didn't even gambled but now I gamble with responsibility and create myself some sort of barrier so I don't go overboard again, thankfully haven't had any issues for years and I am having fun all the time whenever I gamble myself.

Thank you very much for sharing your story! May I ask what your barrier is? Do you have your coins stored in a safe place and cant access it that easy for example? I did so during the altcoin-frenzy in 2017 to keep myself from daytrading (and losing lots and lots of money because I am just not capable of trading, obiviously )

I think it is quite understandable why people would want to share stories of gambling on a CASINO topic, that makes sense, this is not like some mining related topic, it is purely gambling and literally people should be allowed talk about whatever they feel comfortable talking about.

I do not have a limit physically, I usually gamble with only 50 bucks per week but I try not lose all of it neither, I just put it there as a deposit and don't really have a limit of how much I can lose of that, I just know that I want to postpone the next deposit as much as possible and that is the whole aim, I am not planning on winning money from it, I know what gamble is, I just don't want to lose all of it quickly to deposit even more later on. These days money is harder to find so it is harder to deposit more.

gambling is about socializing too , you will get tired of pressing buttons eventually and wanna have someone to hear you out or sympathize with your loss or share the joy of a win 
having a limit of how much you gamble per week/month is good , this way you do not get sucked in and bet more than you can afford to lose

Yeah I'm womdering why they still have no fixed schedule for the wagering contest, I think it will be better if they do it regularly with fixed schedule like what other sites do.

since they have very generous prizes I suspect that they are not very profitable for the house
the last two or three of them people won the top 0.1 or 0.05 btc prizes with less than 4-5 bitcoins wagered which is +EV

I didn't make it to the top 10 with my 5 wins in a row with 28%  win chance, but that is no surprise because the user LKL131 from the 10th place has managed to hit 8 greens in a row. Also his bet size was 2 times higher than the minimum bet required. Keep this in mind, guys, always bet with higher amounts than the minimum bet to have an advantage in case of a tie.

I remember they did something for 100 million and 200 million as well if I am not wrong, I think they are doing celebrations per 100 million system instead of 250 million and other quarter ones. However, I am pretty sure they will do something major for the 1 billion one, that is a big one. They have a really increased speed compared to back in the day, I remember it took over 10 days from 90 million to 100 million, was close to 2-3 weeks.

Now, they are doing 10 million in couple days only. I do wish they did the same interval stuff for contests as well and I have said this multiple times but for some reason they don't really care at all.

I second this, speed really isnt that important. What makes Windice so successful is, that they manage to keep a constantly growing and already pretty high user base. Back in June they had about 100 players online, nowadays   this number rose to 250-300 users at peak times. The more users the more games are played and the faster the number of total games played rises. Simple as that.

They do a lot to keep players at the site and promote it (rains, forum, sig campaign, ...). Those actions and features seem to pay off.

I feel like they are increasing the userbase  constantly to reach faster milestones, they have been doing marketing properly ever since they started but what people don't realize is that when you have 10 gamblers finding another 10 is hard, when you have 100 gamblers finding another 10 is easier, so of course with time they were doing marketing but now it is a combined effort of the marketing they did and the one they are doing.

So, if they continue like this they will have even more gamblers on their website 1 year from now, and there will be even more than that 2 years from now, as long as they don't stop it is a combined effort of past, present and future ones together. There will be 2 big events later this year and I think some gambling sites will also prepare for it. For Windice itself must also prepare promotions or other things for the players, it would be fun if we celebrate holidays and new year's eve on your site.

Actually,,, this is one of my favorite seasons of all. Cyber Monday does not seem to be popular with dice sites but for some reason Chrismas is always celebrated by everyone and I will be seen hunting on a few dice sites for all those contests;)

Never really won anything big (just usual extra tips and rains) but if you never try you never win!
