I'm very interested in this project, but no matter how much I'm reading about I still didn't properly get where all the supposedly thousands of terabytes of the videos are stored and how. I guess they should be stored in a decentralized way in thousands of users PCs, but didn't get any clear infos on that. Are they stored as full files or in chunks? With which redundancy for the cases nodes go offline? WHich incentives would people get to host some of the library's files (if that is the way of storing). And I really don't understand why you don't have a clear and easy to find one pager in your website explaining these simple facts in a way that people have actually a chance to understand what LBRY actually is. I've been occasionally coming back to ypur website for WEEKS now in the hope to uderstand something, but I didn't yet. Which obviouslly prevents me to start using your platform. I guess I'm not the only one.

They are stored in 2MB and hosted by anyone that publishes or downloads the files, and also by LBRY inc. In the long term, we hope to incentivize this and have more dedicated hosting services providing this server.

We mention this on lbry.com/faq/host-content. Most people who use LBRY don't need or want to know these details but the ones that do usually dig into the FAQs or other sites like lbry.tech that detail how it all works.

Always recommend to everyone they immediately SELL their $LBC or swap it for anything else as the LBRY CEO  team could do not care about the price or value
$LBC is one of the WORST performing digital assets of 2020
it seems they have abandoned LBRY roadmap,live streaming,upgrades etc for their new project that does not concentrate on blockchain tech  ANOTHER NEGATIVE FOR $LBC price

What projects would you recommend outside of LBRY if you aren't a fan of them? They seem to have pretty decent infrastructure and price could follow that.

Whats the point of all this? There is Tik Tok. You dont need to even think of hoping that another social platform, a youtube clone or whatever it is, will have a chance of being around for long enough to contend with exiting giants. I mean, the attention market is now all taken away by Tik Tok. Nobody wants this old crap weighted down by stupid imperfect AI, and hinging on various monetization strategies which have never been useful to hold users for long, and other setbacks of evolutionary progress that we are about to leave behind.

That is the challenge for platforms like this, where there are a lot more popular platforms that are already in existence.
Hard to penetrate the market and get users onboard. Unless, they have large companies backing the technology.
But at least this one is trying to implement their use case. Most of their contemporaries have long been abandoned.

Google banning it and other major players shadow banning it is awful for price. But the overall censorship might be good for LBRY's overall meta. Hard to say if people care ultimately. These types of coins historically haven't done well to date. Whether or not that will be true for forever, I really have no idea.

For those that can get good use out of LBRY get a win/win on usage of the currency.
