From my understanding, the hardware wallet is the most secure one. Does anyone have a lot of experience with these and maybe some specific recommendations on which company offers the best ones?

Thanks!

The most suggested hardware wallet that you can use is between these two;

I'm personally using Ledger Nano S and my overall rating to it is 10/10.

There are other hardware wallets suggested by https://bitcoin.org/en/wallets/hardware/

Blockchain.com also launched their own hardware wallet named Blockchain Lockbox but is limited to few coins.

I have a hardware wallet which is Ledger nano. This kind of hardware wallet is very secure and I store all my cryptocurrency there especially my bitcoin and ethereum. If you want to use or buy hardware wallet try to use ledger nano.

The most secure wallet is a properly created paper wallet. However that's not going to be much use if you transact a great deal.

What type of use are you looking for?

I always tell people I know that in the crypto sphere to check this link, https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet. Of course hardware wallet is the best wallet out there, but there are other options as well specially if you're not going to holds tons of bitcoin as of the moment.

Like gentlemand said, a paper wallet is the safest type of wallet you can have. But you need to store it properly. Make sure that it does not get wet, ripped in pieces or physically altered in other ways. A Paper Wallet is for long term holding, it is not meant to be used daily.
If you do a whole let of trading, a paper wallet shouldn't be your first choice. You would be better off with a hardware wallet.

Thank you for your Great recommendation. And our team's bither wallet (bither.net) is listed on bitcoin.org too. Bither has two modes optional--Cold Mode and Hot mode. For Code Mode, you can use a spare mobile phone( offline) to save your bitcoin. However, if you asking for a better hardware solution, i would recommend you the BITHD, a newly-designed cold wallet from our team.

I tried to use both of them, but it sucks, ledger nanos - limited storage, and Trezor monitor is too small and their interface is not user friendly.

Just for your information: You can simply temporarily uninstall apps on your Ledger Nano S so you can install other apps. And no, you don't lose your coins if you uninstall their apps.

or if you have the money to spare, purchase the newer Ledger Nano X: https://www.ledger.com/products/ledger-nano-x

OP, just head on to Amazon now, they have reasonable price otherwise you can directly buy on ledger official site.

However, if your bitcoin isn't that much, for the meantime you can use electrum wallet but be sure to download on their site as recently we have some phishing attempt.

It is not recommended to buy hardware wallets from any third party for your own safety. Only purchase them from the official sites and official re-sellers. Amazon/Ebay and similar sites should not be trusted with your funds.

Ledger is selling on Amazon (and it's the only merchant selling on amazon.com, .fr, .de, and surely .uk too) So it depends. You can be buying from the original seller but on different e-commerce platforms. With Amazon's extensive logistics, it's even an advantage for them, Amazon is doing the job for shipping.

Amazon often stocks and ships products from third party sellers too. Most people don't bother checking that. They just assume it's straight from Amazon themselves.

I wouldn't consider anywhere other than direct from their own websites.

Ledger have an official Amazon store in several countries which you can find from following any of the links on this page: https://www.ledger.com/pages/retailers. Alternatively, if you are searching on Amazon, it should say the words "By Ledger" underneath the product name. If you don't follow either of these steps, you will likely end up buying from a third party seller which is inherently risky.

Having said all that, even buying from their official Amazon store still adds yet another step in to the supply chain. Although highly unlikely to cause any issues, it is riskier to buy from Amazon rather than direct from Ledger themselves.

Jaxx has had special moments in terms of security failure and Jaxx themselves state that their set up is a compromise between security and convenience.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/jaxx-wallet-vulnerability-users-report-400k-funds-thefts

https://techgage.com/article/a-problem-with-jaxx-cryptocurrency-wallet-security/

I don't know anything about Exodus wallet other than it being a desktop wallet and I've never understood why anyone would have one of those unless it's on an air gapped machine.

Just FYI, on some countries that doesn't have official Ledger reseller you should be very careful and make sure your Ledger is not pre-set up'ed. Even though you buy a Ledger Nano or other devices but it has been used before, then it's the same as giving away your money.

I bought one myself from unofficial reseller and after that I've reset it twice, verify the authenticity and upgrade the latest firmware. It's very risky but I don't have other options at that time. Not a recommended way to get your hardware wallet.
