Ok. We have two pieces of very good news and then a little more good news (although some may say it is bad news).

The good news is, we have a MAJOR announcement. It's so big, you can almost call it obese. It's super high in calories. Very tasty, but please do some exercise after reading it. Reading the entire announcement will already make you break a sweat ! The announcement will be published this coming weekend.

The other piece of news (good or bad, whatever you think), is that the major announcement is so big, that it exceeds the discord character limit (450% of the character limit). We will publish the full announcement on bitcointalk as well as proxynode.network. This weekend, we will provide links taking you to the complete text. Normally, we like to keep our communications short and sweet, but in the spirit of Full Disclosure and Transparency, we had to resort to this approach.

Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Sburns who has just found out he is going to be a Dad again! I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say Congratulations to him and his growing family.

We have fought back against the attacks on our network with a New wallet launch! We have released V2.0.0 of proxynode. Please ensure you upgrade via github or through http://proxynode.network.

CRITICAL ISSUE ANNOUNCEMENT:

Dear all,

Last night we were the victims of a fake-stake/double spend attack on the proxynode blockchain and today we identified a series of chainsplits. Because of this, CryptoBridge and Crex have locked down wallets and disabled deposits and withdrawals. We will work with them to restore functionality as soon as we have resolved all issues.

To protect your PRX holdings, please do the following:

- Please Backup Your wallet.dat files Now! Make sure to have wallet backed up on your computer and ideally, to a backup (USB) memory stick.

-  Ensure that your wallet is on the correct chain by following this procedure:

0- Check if your blocks match. To do this, look at the block count at http://explorer.proxynode.network/api/getblockcount and make sure that your wallet has the same block count value. If so, you are on the correct chain and no further action is needed. If the value is not right, your wallet is likely to be on the wrong chain. To remedy this:

1- Delete the files I have numbered in the picture:

2- Download the bootstrap from either of these sources: http://sync.proxynode.network/prx.zip (may be slow) or
https://github.com/ProxyNode/proxynode/releases/download/v2.0.0/prx.master.chain.6jun2019.zip. If using the github link, you will need to navigate into nodes/prxbkp where the files and folders are located.

3- Unzip the contents of the Zip file into the folder where you deleted files were.

4- After these files have copied over, restart your wallet. Your wallet should now be on the correct chain and continue to add blocks, as shown in the explorer.

As you know, MasterNodes.Online (MNO) placed us in maintenance recently due to the change in MN collateral included in the recent update. We engaged with MNOnline to bring our MN page back online. During our discussions, MNOnline have indicated that they will have to charge us 0.05 btc for the update. Other services have not charged us for this change; however, masternodes.online is where many first hear of PRX and monitor our nodes. Proxynode needs your help in funding this. We don't want to sell 0.05 BTC's worth of PRX on the market as this equates to around a million. That would affect price negatively, something which none of us desires.

As you know, we have updated the reward bandings and collateral in the new wallet. When the collateral increase at block 500k, the circulating coin supply should dry up. The implemented changes are meant to curb the coins' original distribution that has caused an over-supply. Keeping this pattern would have killed the coin. We are moving to break that cycle and turn the coin around.

Marketing
To all Crex users out there - Keep your eye out on the faucet function. Sizzle's eagle eyes spotted the faucet button and decided to put some of his PRX up for an airdrop. BTC funds raised towards relisting of our PRX page on MNonline
We are pleased to announce that after our recent call for support, the community has stepped up and donated funds. We reached our target in record time. We want to give our big thanks to our Donors. We have already paid masternode.online and agreed to provide them with a marketing banner. Our banner will ensure that MNO visitors will get to see PRX and hopefully attract new investors from all over the world to our project.

MASC development update
MASC has been super busy but made good progress in multiple areas. We have implemented a number of new (design) features that will drastically enhance the user experience at MASC. A summary below:

1) Users that are starting a new MN will soon have the option to provide their txid (the transaction specifying the collateral transfer to your dedicated wallet). This option will appear after clicking to on a coin icon to add a new node.
2) We have created a new and more comprehensive dynamic database that will populate our website with statistics (ROI, reward, nr of hosted nodes etc) for each MN coin available at MASC. These details will be part of the all-new node layout at the bottom.
3) We have updated the Links to direct you to new pages at MASC
4) We have devised a new MN setup procedure that is running in the background. Setting up a MN for any of our available coins is now easier than it was ever before.
5) A new look front page. The new interface is more intuitive and better guides users to the three primary services (Masternodes, Blockexplorers and VPN) MASC intends to offer.
MASC HACK UPDATE:
After much investigation, we identified the root cause of our compromised server. Production servers at MASC have a setup script that builds them identically to its siblings (albeit, improved by the time the next server needs provisioning). The test server we used first to trial our VPN service was hacked during a botnet attack. At the time of setup, the usual (Production) security measures were not implemented, rendering the server susceptible to attacks. We have now implemented preventative measures in place to repel future attacks (and no, that's not an invitation to attack our servers).

While we are sure that our VPN service did not cause the problem, the attack did prompt us to research on liability issues in the context of VPN service provision. Our preliminary conclusion is that we must separate VPN services from the MASC catalogue for liability reasons. Work continues towards the establishment of the VPN service as well as a sensible operations platform.

New coins at MASC:
You can now start MNs at MASC for the following coins: Altbet, MNPro and PAWS. These coins will supplement a growing list of coins already available at MASC (PRX, Repme, P2PCoin, MARCoin, Adnode and SafeInsure). Advertise our service as far and as wide as you can (all fees paid in PRX only).

Welcome to your weekend announcement for PRX.

As You know, we had a reward change at block 350,000 taking place this week. This meant that rewards dropped from 320 to 240 PRX per block for master nodes whereas staking rewards were reduced to 60 PRX per block. In addition, block reward frequency went also down along with this change.

This means that overall, sigificantly less PRX is being produced on each given day, which will help reduce PRX supply on the market. The PRX team feels that in the long run, This reward change will lead to a price increase. The development and implementation of use cases will undoubtedly lead to a rise in demand and consequently, PRX increases.

In other words, now is the time to get on to the PRX train by snapping up more coins, Hold them hard and wait for the ProxyNode project to develop and reach its full potential.

We are also closely monitoring other coins who are going through changes to see if any of their approaches provide them with favourable results. Rather than 'try something' only to ruin the coin. A great example is that Siz really wanted an LTC pair on the exchanges but when watching repme change from BTC only, to add an ETH pair, the price tanked from 1 sat to 2 gwei. This caused significant damage to the community and therefore we will only look at BTC pairs going forward. 1 sat is better than 0 sat.
Supply burning and swap ratio are currently being observed and we do not think this will result in success for them, but we wait and watch. Don't worry - no decision will be made without consulting the community in discord and telegram.

Just looked through the recent changes in github and see that readme was updated with important changes, but code is not. Also readme and this announcement now have different info about max supply, block time and number of confirmations. I guess better have it consistent everywhere, also keeping code in sync with info provided.

Regarding github, we have a really good developer who works on multiple wallets and he did one big re-vamp of the wallet. Currently, we've not found any reason to tamper with it as it's working great. We witness many coins releasing update after update that do nothing for anyone, just to show they are active and we genuinely don't see the point in compromising the integrity of the wallet without a good reason.

ProxyNode Whitepaper:
@Sizzlephizzle#0376 has started his work on the ProxyNode Whitepaper, aided by @Huitemae. It will set out the strategic direction of PRX, the scope of its development work with MASC as well as its longer-term development goals and vision. It's a mammoth task but it will get done in the coming weeks.

MASC Services:
We are pleased to announce that new coins on MASC are ready for nodes. We will host MNs for the well-established GIN coin project as well as Bitgreen and the all new MNPRO v2. In addition to established projects, MASC is in discussion with a new project called DAPS. The DAPS project is set to launch towards the end of Q3 and MASC is considered a reputable MN provider under their consideration.

We alert all MNPRO holders a coin swap is taking place from v1 to v2 over 8 days. We urge customers to please act quickly. For information, please contact MNPRO.

MASC Improvements:
Over the past week, MASC has been working to optimise the infrastructure, underpinning its hosting service. As part of the work, the following changes have been made:
    - Server 7 is cancelled pending termination.
    - Server 8 has been deemed unfit for service.  We will migrate Nodes and decommission the server in due course.
    - MASC has ensured that capacity will not be affected. Space for new nodes will remain available, minimising the impact to customers

Work continues on the improvement of the MASC website with a particular focus on the User Interface. The changes to the UI are currently being tested and benchmarked to ensure the highest possible standard. We will launch the revamped UI upon completion of this work. MASC customers will find that the new UI is better streamlined, more interactive and easier on the eye.

This week has been mega busy, what with MASC filling to max capacity and all, but that's now solved. For a full breakdown of what occured, please see the Discord #updates channel.
This has left me (Siz) exhausted and I can't recover my sleep pattern so i've pulled an all nighter to try and reset myself. That means I am completely useless to PRX/MASC and my family today as I'm absolutely shattered and it's 11am local time.

We've seen impressive work by the community to start the coin price recovery. Great effort from all involved. Those strong hands are what raises the coin price. If you're happy to sell for 5 sats now, HODL and sell half the amount for twice the price when we get to 10 sats. Every exchange sell hinders us, every purchase helps us.

The future of Proxynode and MASC is going to have a bit of a newer spin as I will be doing some how-to videos so that people can get a visual walk through of the processes. I realised the time I spend supporting people with typing is really affecting the time for progression so steps will be taken to make this more efficient.

I'm inspired to work harder than ever on the project, but alas, I am in need of some rest. I will return reinvigorated and revitalised tomorrow, maybe Friday.

Dear @everyone

Please accept my sincerest apologies. Recent weeks have been quite chaotic and the announcements have not been perfect. Even today's announcement is a day late so for that I am sorry.

MASC: Upgrade hit some stumbling blocks but these have been resolved and it's back in full swing now. 2 servers of the entire estate are complete.
Once the upgrade is complete there will remain to be no visible improvement for customers, this is all backend efficiencies and nothing front-end facing.

PRX: From what I see, the past 90 days of PRX are strongest of any Cryptocurrency I have seen during the BTC pump and dump activity. We are not rich yet, we are not on the moon yet, but we show significant stability in a turbulent market place. Imagine what would happen if we really did some marketing on Proxynode and got some extra whales buying up the supply! Whilst this is a nice pipe dream, we don't want whales yet. Buying now would be very beneficial to whales and people with big wallets, we want to look after those who have been with us through the hard times.

I've attached the chart that I've had saved as a screenshot for a week and it paints an amazing picture for this coin and most importantly, it's community. When exploiters took our price down hard and fast, the community rebuilt it within hours. I'm honoured to be serving you guys and gals who reset the price back to it's true value.

YOU ARE AMAZING! WELL DONE TO ALL!!! :clap: :clap:

After the MASC improvements are complete, I hope to be able to re-assess the capacity needs for it, reduce expenditure and see if I can reinvest the savings into either ipv4 nodes or other services that will attract more investment into PRX.
