Initially Slicecoin was forked from Litecoin codebase. In a few days we will come up with fresh new code based on the Bitcoin code version 0.18.1.0
Thats the last version of core, with some advantages and improvements like few times faster transactions then btc, more supply for mining.
As for exchanges, as you can see, with 5 exchanges in the start, Slice is left without exchange. Thats because new regulation pressure on exchanges, which are forced do delist a lot of coins and tokens, and that will continue for a while. Currently it have impact on Slice, but not for long. We are waiting which exchanges will survive on the market, then we will list SLC on few reputable ones. And dont worry, if it takes too long for exchanges, regulations to settle down, its not excluded that SLC will come up with its own exchange. Be noted that if that happens in the future, SLC will be used as utility to buy services on the exchange. Thanks for your patience, keep mining Slice and HODL.
