NOTE: This thread are for those participants of 2019 NBA playoffs Prediction Pool.

The 2019 NBA playoffs will be starting on April 13, 2019
The entry fee is BTC0.005 for each participant

The winners will be the top 4 participants who got the highest points at the end of the Playoffs.            Example: If there are 10 participants who joined then the prize pool would be BTC0.05

1st place  :  50% of the total pool                                                                                                         1st  : BTC0.025
2nd place :  20% of the total pool                                                                                                         2nd : BTC0.01
3rd place  : 10% of the total pool                                                                                                          3rd : BTC0.005
4th place  :  5% of the total pool                                                                                                           4th : BTC0.0025

How the 2019 NBA Playoffs Prediction Pool Works: There are 16 teams that will be playing in the Playoffs and 8 teams for the Eastern and Western Conference respectively.
There will be a 4 rounds in each conference consisting of the 1st round(Eastern/Western Quarter-finals), 2nd round(Eastern/Western Semi-Finals), 3rd round(Eastern/Western Conference Finals), 4th round(NBA Finals).
(This will be a prediction for a series win and not per game)

In the 1st round the participants must predict 8 winning teams that can proceed to the Eastern/Western Semi-Finals.
In the 2nd round the participants must predict 4 winning teams that can proceed to the Eastern/Western Finals.
In the 3rd round the participants must predict 2 winning teams that can proceed to the NBA Finals.
In the 4th round the participants must predict 1 winning team or the NBA Champions.


For each 1 game away from a correct prediction the participant will receive 3 points
For each 2 game away from a correct prediction the participant will receive 2 points
For each 3 game away from a correct prediction the participant will receive 1 point
For each exact correct prediction the participant will receive 5 points
For each wrong prediction the participant will receive 0 point

There will be only four winning results in each series and that is:
4-0 = 4 games
4-1 = 5 games
4-2 = 6 games
4-3 = 7 games


Score Multipliers for each round:
1st round : 1x
2nd round: 2x
3rd round : 3x
4th round : 4x

Let's say the 2019 NBA Playoffs started today then I am one of the participant.
I will place my bet with this kind of format:

If there are scores tied at the end of the Prediction pool then the prizes will be divided to the winners equally.


IMPORTANT:The deadline for posting prediction is 2 days before the round starts. So if the 1st game of the 1st round of playoffs starts at 8:00am(GMT+8) on April 13, 2019 then you must post on or before of 7:59am on April 11,2019(GMT+8). Late post or no post at all will be resulted to a disqualification for the said round.

*I will honor the last message of the participant about his/her predictions and that will serve as his/her final entry.

Also how many participants usually register during this kind of competitions? I think this is the first time someone did a NBA prediction pool here, I don't have any idea on how many will register but I'm expecting that many will join, and when you look Cloudbet's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread there are 28 participant who joined it .
The deadline for the submission of registration is the same with the posting of the predictions, 7:59am on April 11,2019(GMT+8). Of course it's much better to register early so you'll be relax instead of waiting the last minute.

I had to update the escrow address due to issues with ledger (never using that for escrows again, lol). I've setup a new address from electrum instead, as I do with all of my campaigns.

The idea of morvillz7z is good but IMO it's going to be messy if we will incorporate that with the existing rules of the game.
I'd like to suggest to make a new prediction poll for his idea so we will have a 2 prediction pool and members can choose where to participate.

For me, I would be very glad to participate on both, I'd like him to be part since he was very supportive in the beginning to make this possible.
