The rest of our team wanted to stay private so we put up some dummy images, I guess that was a mistake!  Undecided

I mean, to be fair, the developers have a point and reserve the right to remain anonymous. Although they should have made it more clear. However, you can't just discredit the entire project and their profile as scammers without further evidence and not just because of some fake profile pictures...

Is it? This isn't mistake. If you want to stay private so why use fake picture ? Why not just write on your website that " we want to stay private, that's why we don't want to use our real image". So we don't need to make accusations. The excuse isn't new to us, so stop scamming people's. Tagged by the way.

I mean, to be fair, the developers have a point and reserve the right to remain anonymous.
It's fine if some one want to remain anonymous on crypto world. But why they are using fucking stock image or stealing others image and put their website without permission? Stop defending scammers.

It's ridiculous to outright call an ENTIRE project a 'scam' because of one small outlier like this. If there was more than one piece of evidence, then sure, anyone would agree that's reasonable. But it could have been an honest mistake from an inexperienced developer. And it seems so because they quickly removed the pictures and admitted fault. I also said that they should have been more outright clear with their intentions. Stop going with the bandwagon and actually investigate these projects without going into full accusation mode. By the way, it isn't an ICO, so I am not sure how they are scamming people by posting fake pictures of themselves.. Care to elaborate?

Also, the stock images they used were free to use without restriction (look at the original post), so they could use these images how ever they wanted to. Sorry to break it to you, but no one gives a fuck about how a PoW coin developer looks like.

What more evidence do you need?
Honesty is when you let the users know that the pictures used are not the actual images of the team. We live in a world of scammers so any slight red flag will definitely raise eyebrows because we have seen such a thing here time and time again.

If you caught a thief and he quickly returned your property after getting caught, Does that making him an honest person who is not a thief?
Come on.

The best thing they would have done if the wanted to stay anonymous was not to include the team part at all(obviously they wouldn't get so many people trusting their project since lately very few people are willing to waste their time/resources on anonymous projects. Gone are the days.)

By the way, it isn't an ICO, so I am not sure how they are scamming people by posting fake pictures of themselves.. Care to elaborate?

Alright; Did you see this?

The coins from scammers will still end up with an innocent somebody buying them from an exchange. So it is better to stop it before that happens.

Can you read what you wrote? imagine that you create a project and put a photo of your father, and days later this project goes wrong and people open case in the police and the police arrest your father or worse, some very violent guy is not satisfied in just reporting the case on police and decides to take pistol and kills your father. because of you, your father dies or because of you an innocent person dies who has never been involved with your project. It is about taking responsibility for your actions. If someone wants to create a project? then take responsibility for the project

it was a big mistake

With the nonsense of your comparison, I can see why you back up this claim. I am not invested in this project, so go on and join the bandwagon, because frankly I don't care.

LOL what are you even talking about here.

Also we did take responsibility for our actions. Also there's no premine or ICO. Also the main developer's identity is known. Please show another "scam" where all of this was true. I'll wait.
