-BOSSLinux is a new fully featured new-user-friendly energy efficient desktop-oriented GNU/Linux distribution created on top of Ubuntu long term support (LTS) code base using Gnome as the default desktop. BOSS is fast, lightweight and fully customizable OS which offers different versions for different users and different tasks focusing on the blockchain environment and its different applications.Key features include intuitive installation process, automatic hardware detection, BOSS has been designed to combine an elegant and efficient desktop with simple configuration, high stability, solid performance and small-sized footprint.
-By default BOSS has some pre-installed applications: Gnome browser, Terminator, Nemo, Shotwell, BitcoinBOSS wallet, on top of that are all the basic tools. Additional software is available via synaptic package manager with over 50,000 packages (precompiled software that is bundled up in a nice format for easy and free installation on your machine). Some of the packages we distribute are under the GPL. If you want to access their source code you can use the apt-get source command. If you can't find what you're looking for please contact us and we'll provide the source to you.
-BOSS has thought about privacy and security and has installed by default some applications that monitor your system and notify you in real time of changes or threats. We have also installed other active, passive security systems, audit tools and it has default MAC address apoofing and IVP6 disabled.
-In support of our development as a blockchain OS we have created BitcoinBOSS, scrypt algorithm PoW PoS coin with an interesting configuration and specifications and with an insignificant premine.BitcoinBOSS project will be used for the development of installable applications on Linux systems starting with Debian and Buntu family based systems.
