How are the metal plates held together, to stop the whole thing falling apart ?

Is it possible to lock the Frozen Armor with a padlock ?

You can buy a small metal box and lock the Frozen Armor inside. Anyway, thanks for your suggestion, we may consider that in the future.

Is there anything holding the front cover together to the back plate (with the letters)

The back plate is held to the front cover with a metal pivot. This pivot bolt anchors the two sides and allow them rotate on horizontal level.

As for letters, there is another piece of steel grating which covers and fixes the letters after you place them in order; the gratings are fixed by small steel screws.

Thanks for the update, yeah you guys really need to update the website shop first, before the amazon and ebay links (I can't buy from either directly anyway, unless you sell on amazon.de). I'd rather shop directly from the website I think most of us would prefer that too (and pay simple BTC please!).

Need to see a full list of characters, and maybe sell together with the updated kit so we don't have to order extra? (this is for the seed memoriser)

What will you do if a customer ran out of letters to complete his SEED?

• Will you send him the missing letters for free?
• Can the customer request for the number of vowels and consonants as he order?

If you look at the device... you can only store 4 letters per word (this is generally fairly standard amongst all the "cryptosteel"-type devices that I have seen)

Flexible combination: first 4 letters of each word, fix seeds/mnemonics into the strong plates and lock them in a reliable, assuring and elegant manner.

The reason being that, because of the nature of the BIP39 wordlist, 4 letters is enough to identify every word uniquely in the BIP39 list (at least, for the English wordlist).

a) smart selection of words

   - the wordlist is created in such way that it's enough to type the first four letters to unambiguously identify the word

Indeed, we do have the 255 characters tiles to be engraved according to the frequency of the BIP44 glossary. And there are no two or more words sharing the same first four letters in the glossary. 

We have considered the possible situations and made a satisfactory solution.
