Guys these days scammers are pushing stolen funds to exchanges and once you pay, exchanges freeze your accounts. Be mindful who you are buying bulk coins from. Overly cheap coins and bulk coins with no sources too sometimes has egbese. I can’t start dropping screenshots or proofs of that. Try to use decentralized exchanges if you receive coins on exchanges. In the quest to make  10k profit, I pray we don’t pay 5m debt

Now, my question is, why would this exchange(s) accept the stolen funds in the first place? Why did they even allow the scammer to place a sell other? Why didn't they froze the scammers account immediately they deposited the stolen funds? Why did they allow innocent buyers to buy the stolen funds from the scammer only for them to turn and block the innocent buyer's account,? How is/was the buyer supposed to know that the funds which he or she bought or want to buy is a stolen fund?
Lots of questions and questions with little answer I guess, if what you said is true, then, this is highly unfair on the buyers, except the buyers know the funds are stolen and still went ahead to buy cus its cheap, then that's a different story but then, the question, why the exchange allow the scammers to place the sell order still lingers.

OK, na now you talk wetin I hear, say the exchanges dey cunning, well, me never encounter any of this kind of problems before ooh since 2016 wey I enter this industry, maybe because I no too dey into p2p trading Sha, the first local exchange wey I start with when I enter crypto na luno, from luno, I moved to remitano, na remitano I still dey use till now, though I get account for other p2p exchanges like localbitcoin, paxful(I no even know whether this one na p2p exchange) etc, but I never for ones use any of this exchanges.

I dey tell you. Me I dey use Binance P2P the moment you just login you go see scammers tayah, like dey plenty of their ehh but if you dey wise you no go fall mugu. For binance option dey to only trade with those dey done verify as merchant and na their I dey based. I never trade with number traders because their price dey always too good to be true. How person go dey sell naira for 700/$ where e theif the money from?.

Na only if you greedy na e dis people go dey use you shines. Remitano too cost of you wan buy and low if you wan sell na e make I no dey use dem I get account their as well. For the other mata, you no go blame the exchange, dey only take action when the transaction get flags.

Not you key not your coin, if you are using centralized exchange, your account can be frozen at any time due to suspicious transactions, also like you don comment, scammers dey very smart, we don know how scammers can be so anonymous and put another person for trouble. But, we should know that to have full control, we need to use noncustododial wallet, some will first prefer to mix the coin, some people will prefer to make use of CoinJoin wallet like Wasabi and then perform ricochet to make the coins not/less suspicious before making use of custodial exchanges, but noncustodial exchanges like Bisq is still the safest while users still need to be careful of scammers, but you own the private key to your address. Only what I can use centralized exchange for na to do p2p transactions within the exchange which I know no issue go dey, and use reputed exchange like Binance, and as CryptopreneurBrainboss talk ham, use verified merchants is better.

Na here way the biggest question of all dey for this matter. E con make the thing dey like deliberate act to just hold person funds for hand. Like the way our local banks dey do way be say, feds go fund them to pay people, them go just hodl am small via say, them wan use am trade and earn small profit. We don try our best to get our own local board, we don request for it two times but not given yet, the last time we requested for it na even this year. We just need to focus more on achieving it, our activities here go count towards achieving local board, although if we get a common local language, it would have helped, but something good may still come up if we no relent.

There is no much rules to follow than:

1. This thread are for Nigerians
2. English, Pidgin and all Nigeria languages are welcomed
3. Lastly, to obey the rules of the forum. If we have local board, we can have a thread for rules to follow if necessary.

What I am still suggesting us is to increase our activities here, though I have later come to know that it is not something we can force or have in mind too much, but we should dedicate our time here help our ourselves, this can later possibly turn up into having enough activities that can lead us into having our own local board.

I have noticed many of us will introduce newbie to this forum, letting him/she knows about this local thread is very important, some do not even know local thread is important, this is part of the reason we can not have local board ASAP. We should introduce this thread to our fellow Nigerians, let them know how important it is, all newbies like to post on their local boards because they will feel like being among the people of their own kind.

I expect us to fill 1 or 2 pages (20 to 40 posts) or more daily with good, quality and constructive posts before we should be expecting local thread. Although, this is not what we can easily achieve, but we will achieve it and become easy when the right time come. Nigeria is using more of hydroelectric power plant, the more water is flowing the more the current to drive the turbine used for the energy generation, light (electricity) supposed to be available in rainy season than dry season when the water current would have reduced to drive the turbine for electricity generation. I did not read anything good lately about increase energy transmission, so I think rainy season is the main reason for the recent good electricity supply in our country.

It's surprised me seeing this updates on how far my beloved country has gone worldwide with a good and recommendable recognition it has even in the crypto world despite our bad governance, security and high rate of corruption, we are still among the best in Bitcoin, no wonder they call us the giant of Africa, we the youth are no more lazy, as initially purported by our president I quote "lazy Nigerian youths".
