I think this new development by Central Bank of Nigeria is really good and it's going to help checkmate vote buying in the forth coming election. I don't know the inner motivations driving your comment, and no one is stopping you from discussing politics. I only suggested a minimum of 7 weekly posts as a requirement for monthly merit awards, and judging by the votes cast thus far, it appears that I wasn't the only one annoyed by all the low-quality, copy-and-paste political discussions taking place here. We don't prevent anyone from posting, but from early this year to last year, there weren't many political discussions, and our activity was much better than it is now, earning us a Thread Pin. How are our newcomers going to learn about wallets, bitcoin, and the blockchain collectively if we keep talking about politics?. Some of us are here to learn; not all of us are here to accumulate post counts and earn money. Nigeria has lagged behind the rest of the world in implementing cashless policies, which is why our Naira has been losing value because there was an excess of money in circulation. Only a small percentage of Nigerians use the daily 20k ATM limit, and if you need to purchase anything above that amount, you can still use mobile transfers up to 5M per day, so how is this a problem? If you want to withdraw more than $20,000 from POS, a mobile bank, you can simply transfer the money to them and receive your funds. Demand arises from scarcity, and value arises from high demand. You will observe the Naira strengthening against the US dollar in a year. small implementation una go talk of jobs, government salary is too low why not learn a skills, una too funny abeg.

Huobi Global, OKX, Kucoin, Polonix, DigiFinex and many other exchanges are located in Seychelles, while no recognized one located in Nigeria.

Nigeria has lagged behind the rest of the world in implementing cashless policies, which is why our Naira has been losing value because there was an excess of money in circulation.

Money printing with higher economic output will not result to inflation. Nigeria has the highest GDP in Africa but if compared to our population, it is low. We can do better than that, but we are not because we depend more on imports. In this modern world, another example are the foreign exchanges we depend on, if there are exchanges in Nigeria, there would be increased employment and more taxes to the government.

Because of the primary reason (low production) that causes inflation, CBN tries other ways to prevent it, like this new cashless policy and credit card monthly international spending which he reduced like 2 years ago from over $3000 monthly or so, to $100 monthly.

But the main problem in Nigeria is not the cashless transaction but as you said production. But production is not also di main problem as of now. But di way and things I take as di main problem na di economy agencies like efcc, icpc, cpc etc are very much weak that di prices of good nd service are not regulated so sellers freely increase price of things on their will... Na the problem be that. Any where weh restrictions deh, e deh make some people feel cheated. we have the numbers but we dos not have the enabled environment for these exchanges. you known the Nigeria govt are not a big fan of cryptocurreny but i hope things changes soon because we deserve to have at least PAXFUL and Binance state office in Nigeria, these two are the most used and have been closer to the government for the past few years now, building building projects. I've known Seychelles as a tourism place never knew they are these massive.

Limiting the amount of dollars in circulation is also happening; when the cashless policy is fully implemented, the $100 note will no longer be in banks; it is easier to move around with a $100 note, but it would be difficult to move around with a large sum of $20 notes. The cashless policy will then result in many locally made payment gateways, which will eventually create jobs. If we can reduce terrorist funding and criminal activity, we will have achieved a significant WIN.
