Unfortunately, if you've really lost both the PIN and the 24-word recovery seed, then you've pretty much lost your coins and tokens. The best thing you could do right now is probably guess for the PIN. Unfortunately, again, you only have 3 tries. After 3 attempts, the device gets wiped. And with you having no access to the recovery seed, you're screwed.

Before attempting some PINs, I heavily suggest that you definitely take some time to think about the possible pins. Probably even take some weeks just to be sure; for you to narrow down your choices.

Can you remember if you did write the seed down? If you've used up three attempts with the pin then the seed is your only hope of recovering the money. Without that it's gone for good.

You need to have at least either your recovery sheet or your PIN. Without it yes you have lost your coins. There is no other way around. You didn't have noted them somewhere?. Are you sure you can't remember the PIN?. At least this, it could help

Sadly that's what it means, you ought to have written or stored this sort of vital information somewhere, take time to think if you did.
And also before you used up all your three attempts, you should have been at least 50 percent sure they were correct, you just had to be more careful with this kinda information

Unfortunately for you, the answers are:
Yes, you have lost all your coins.
No, there is no way to recover them without the recovery phrase.



Hopefully this will serve as a cautionary tale for other users of hardware wallets... make sure you have your recovery phrase stored both safely and securely! It is your only insurance against a lost/damaged/stolen or otherwise inaccessible device.

If you don't remember PIN code and lost recovery phrase, it means that you lost access to your coins. I'm sorry to say that. You had to write down your recovery phrase and keep it safe place.
But are you sure that you can't remember your PIN code? Maybe you had it written down somewhere. I understand that you probably tried to search for these things in all possible places, but I can't suggest anything better. Without PIN or recovery phrase nothing more can be done to access your coins. It's your responsibility to to save or remember these things. Sorry to say that...

Pretty much, yes. The one and only thing you can really do right now to possibly recover your funds, is to look for a copy of your recovery phrase, assuming you actually did take some time to write the 24-words down when you first created your wallet. Without a copy with your recovery seed, it's pretty much gone. Remember, bitcoin has no official hotline to call when something goes wrong. Being your own bank comes with responsibilities.

Out of curiosity, do you really have no backup (like digital encrypted file that probably got deleted by mistake)? If you have some previous backups then you can at least try to recover it. Next time please follow the instructions of backing up your seed or etc, not only in one place but multiple place to avoid your backup getting lost.

If recovering without PIN or recovery phrase is possible, then hackers would love to steal Ledger as many as possible and then hijack it all the way.

He already tried the wrong PIN three times which means that his Ledger Nano S got wiped clean. The only chance is the recovery phrase.

I don't understand what you did with your recovery phrase!? When you first use your Ledger and create your account the device asks you to enter your recovery phrase before you can start using the wallet. It is a safety measure to ensure that you wrote down the words properly. There is no way around that. Therefore you must have written it down somewhere because you cant remember 24 random words without having taken note of them.

Maybe some accident happened and his seed is destroyed in fire or flood, or he /she is simply lost it as most people lose things every day. Importance of backup ( seed words) is sometimes neglected, just because users think that hardware wallets can protect coins regardless of everything else.

However some lost things can be found, so there is always hope that seed is somewhere misplaced and OP should never give up the search, especially if it involves some bigger amount of money.
