ShorelineCrypto is the only exchange that offer zero withdraw fee policy to encourage users not to store coins at exchange.  The
minimum balance per account and per coin is set up to ensure the miners fees are covered.  The traders at exchange only pay miner fees essentially. Miner fees are
determined at each blockchain for each transactions while exchange charges no fees for withdraw.

What about remaining residual balance?

This is left over amount, minimum balance minus the miner fees.  Take doge as example,  minimum balance is 2 DOGE, miner fees more or less around 1 DOGE.
Your account will be left with 1 DOGE residual amount that can not  be withdrawn.  However,  you can trade this 1 DOGE and buy Nengcoin(NENG) and withdraw NENG instead.  At current
trading price,  1 DOGE you can buy 73926 NENG and withdraw 73925 NENG to your own wallet.

The new coin listing fee is still 0.01 BTC, and 50% discount if the fee is paid on NewEnglandcoin (NENG) exclusively.  However, because of sharp rise of NENG,  the listing fee on NENG unit has dropped to 150 million NENG.

The NENG trading price has been volatile so that we will not adjust price every day. But we will adjust new coin listing fee on NENG unit periodically considering all the factors including average trading price, and liquidity of NENG trading with 50% discount.

Delisting Warning on SBIT
Oct 28, 2020

SBIT is inactive on ShorelineCrypto exchange with no trading for past 3 months.  This is final warning that if SBIT has no more trading in next two weeks, this coin will be delisted from shorelinecrypto exchange.   We will issue a final delisting notice in two weeks depending on SBIT community actions.

Our rule is that no trading in one calendar month, we may issue delisting on exchange coins at our own precaution. This warning is just Courtesy warning only.   Our exchange software and server resources etc are limited and we do not plan for hosting inactive coins in our exchange.   In the future, there will be no more warning on SBIT if delisting final decision happens.

Update on NewEnglandcoin Name Change and Hark Fork on v1.5.x wallets

Because of name change, exchange is not able to automatically convert NENG  to  Nengcoin balance at exchange accounts. What we will do is to list two coins soon next week:  one is Nengcoin with symbol "NENG", The old NewEnglandcoin will switch symbol to "NEWE".  NewEnglandcoin will soon disable trading at exchange and only allow withdraw to your Nengcoin wallet. A some point TBD date, NewEnglandcoin (NEWE) will be delisted from exchange and only leave Nengcoin (NENG) trading at exchange.

When deposit or withdraw NENG (either NewEnglandcoin or Nengcoin), please limit each transaction to 50 million NENG only and do the next transaction after exchange balance is settled first so that our software automatically handle deposit/withdraw without human support.

FAQ: How to Swap NEWE to NENG in Exchange Wallet?

There is no "swap" option. Only withdraw/deposit. But you can withdraw NEWE coins and deposit into any NENG wallet. For example, doing below will transfer NEWE/NENG within exchange wallets:

(1) Withdraw NEWE, deposit into NENG address from exchange, yes, doable this way.
(2) Try to limit to 50 million max per transaction and wait on balance settlement first each time so that exchange software can auto-handle withdraw/deposit  without need of human support.

NewEnglandcoin(NEWE) will be delisted from exchange on  Jan. 9, 2021.  The last trading day for NEWE is 12/27/2020.  After that up until 01/09/2021, NEWE will be allowed to withdraw only, and trading disabled.

I am glad that you like our exchange.

The delisting criteria is mainly on trading volumes as you see our new listing criteria agreement clearly stated that when a coin applicant/dev applied for listing.  Specifically on monthly basis,  no trading in a month is subject to delisting depending on our server usage and resources case by case.

Another factor is legality and government regulation issue because our exchange is in USA, specifically New England region in Connecticut and we have to follow federal and local laws on crypto.  I am puzzled by recent DASH delisting news across board and  I am thinking whether we should follow that or not. So far I have not seen any clear laws or regulation news clearly saying that DASH is illegal for trading in USA.  But if that is true that DASH becomes illegal in USA, you can expect that we will follow and delist DASH.

For NewEnglandcoin delisting, it is not truly a delisting, it is more of technical swap. NewEnglandcoin now hard forked and changed name to Nengcoin.  We list Nengcoin so that NewEnglandcoin holders should just swap to Nengcoin with no effect of this change.

I am puzzled by recent DASH delisting news across board and  I am thinking whether we should follow that or not. So far I have not seen any clear laws or regulation news clearly saying that DASH is illegal for trading in USA.  But if that is true that DASH becomes illegal in USA, you can expect that we will follow and delist DASH.

I hadn't heard anything about that, though I think I do remember reading something about the so-called privacy coins not being very popular in the eyes of the government--but that doesn't mean there are laws on the books as we speak prohibiting them from being traded in New England or anywhere else in the US.

As an exchange operator, I'm assuming you're aware of state and federal laws but please correct me if I'm wrong (and if I'm wrong, you probably should be aware of those things).  It's too bad there don't seem to be many lawyers frequenting bitcointalk.  Their advice would be much appreciated in situations like this.

Lawyers are everywhere.  But obviously as small business, we can not pay lawyers big fees.  We practice law and read the regulation and law book ourselves, we have to follow laws/regulations step by step.

Selfiecoin (SLFI) is a coin listed trading at exchange. The support give you some free SLFI on your account (in secret).  You need to login into your account and tell support how much SLFI you have on your account.

Scammers or other people will not know this number because they have no access to your account.

Support should have given you back all the NEWE coins into your Nengcoin address. What you encountered on browser constant refreshing issue is not new.  The exchange software does not support multiple browser tabs on same user very well. You just have to open one login on one browser tab only.

Blockchain Withdraw Fees Alert

The exchange charges zero fees on withdraw or deposit.  However, blockchain miners fees do apply for each withdraw from exchange account and this is out of our control.  This is determined by each coin blockchain.  Historically Dogecoin transaction miner fee is only at 1 DOGE and quite cheap.  Due to huge price price,  1 DOGE is equivalent of  $0.07 USD and this miner fee is quite high.   We noticed for small amount of withdraw ($100 to $200 USD equivalent),  litecoin or dash has significantly lower miner fees, as low as below $0.01 USD.  For withdraw from exchange, be aware of this blockchain mining fees changes due to huge rise of dogecoin price.

The decision on delisting is based on technical determination that Selfiecoin network is extremely unstable and not functional.  This happened previously before with delisting warning from exchange on 10/30/2020.  So far no Selfiecoin dev has come forward recently on this coin for technical rescue and it was abandoned by dev obviously.

Note that we will facilitate withdrawal of all SLFI from exchange as much as possible before delisting day. Due to high mining fees on dogecoin, withdraw doge from exchange is not cheap.  Although residual left over coins can be traded to Nengcoin or Cheetahcoin, but still this is issue on cost. Exchange wallet typically uses low miner fees on dogecoin withdraw, but delay and wait on dogecoin network has been problematic because dogecoin traffic is very congested.

To insure better withdraw experience for our members, we have reduced litecoin withdraw minimum dramatically to 0.0003 LTC ($0.075 USD).  Members can buy litecoin and withdraw LTC instead to take advantage of low miner fees on litecoin.  Again left over residual bitcoin litecoin or dogecoin  can still be traded to Nengcoin or Cheetahcoin and be withdrawn on NENG or CHTA as usual to take advantage of NO WITHDRAW fee feature of exchange.

Tips to Save Coin Withdraw Fees at SLC
ShorelineCrypto Exchange (SLC) does not charge withdraw fees on any of the coins trading at exchange. However, minimum balance hold is setup to pay for blockchain miner fees. In other word, miner fees still apply if you withdraw DOGE or NENG/CHTA from exchange. This miner fees are same concept of gas fees in ethereum or binance smart chain world.

DOGE blockchain miner fees are every expensive, usually at 1 doge miner fee at minimum level for small doge amount withdraw from SLC. This is about $0.30 USD fee to pay litecoin/doge miners on any SLC withdraw. This makes small dollar worth ($1 USD to $5 USD worth) dogecoin withdraw from SLC very unattractive. You can save this by doing below:

(1) Consider trade to LTC and withdraw LTC instead

(2) Consider trade to DASH and withdraw DASH instead

Marycoin(MC) will be delisted from exchange on Nov 1, 2021.  The last trading day for Marycoin(MC)   is 10/31/2021.

On Nov 1,  2021, MC will be delisted and removed from exchange.  Please withdraw all your Marycoin(MC) balances to your private Marycoin(MC) wallet before MC delisting day.

The decision on delisting is based on trading activity determination that Marycoin had lack of interest from MC community for trading.  There has been no trades on MC for more than 2 months.   Exchange has limited resources to support coins trading and wallet and we can not afford to support coins with no trading interest.

Exchange Trading Shutdown for Upgrade/Migration on Oct 16 ,2021

ShorelineCrypto Exchange will be shut down on Oct 16, 2021 Saturday 10:00am U.S. EST due to server upgrade and migration to another cloud host.  It is expected that this trading disruption will last at least several hours to late night on the same day until after new DNS IP information propagation is completed.  

The details of migration will involve data back up operation,  software and data migration to another host and then DNS  host IP migration to another host server. When the new trading site resume trading, exchange users should not expect any changes on software or accounts other than at faster speed at new site with different IP behind the same web URL.

Delisting Warning Issued on 020LondonCoin (O2O)

A delisting warning is issued on 020LondonCoin (O2O). O2O will be on watch for 1 more month to see the progress of this coin from here.

We just found that 020LondonCoin last block was 8 days ago.  The o2o blockchain is frozen.  We tried to use our in-house small GPU and found that we could not move the chain.
It probably will take several days for a low-end GPU to mine several blocks until the next difficulty adjustment come and let the difficulty to drop to normal levels.

We also noticed that that there are no other full nodes on this coin other than our exchange full node. This is another bad sign that this coin is in danger of failure.

Our exchange resource is limited.  Please be warned that we can not support a coin with technical unstable and frozen blockchain.  For O2O dev/communities and supporters,  please use whatever method on your end to move the O2O blockchain.

There exists a large amount of TBCP fans who wishes to use BADcoin to order their merchandise, but in order for me to let them do so we would need BADcoin listed on an exchange so we have a value for it.

Dear ShorelineCrypto Friends and Members,  we are sad to announce here that shorelinecrypto exchange platform was hacked on 11/11/2021.  Through past one day investigation,  we have determined that the yesterday's hacking event caused exchange to lose between $1000 USD to $2000 USD, most likely around $1500 USD as of today's DOGE/BTC/LTC trading price.  The hacking was mainly on Dogecoin wallet, between 4000 to 5000 DOGE was stolen, to less degree for insignificant amount on exchange litecoin and bitcoin wallets.  Here are details of the hack

(1)  No exchange username or password were leaked or hacked on this event. A hacker registered a new username with email and hacked through the system software code with this account on a software bug that was unknown on this platform.
(2) The hacking event was through a complicated simultaneous dogecoin deposit and withdraw many many times.  Deposit less coins and withdraw more coins, therefore stole large amount of DOGE.  Because vast majority of exchange dogecoin is stored offline in cold wallet,  the  most amount of dogecoin stolen was determined around 5000 DOGE.

This is first time that this exchange software code was hacked over our past 3 years of operation.  This is significant and we have determined that shorelinecrypto exchange business is no longer viable business while we will continue our software business with no impact.  Here are the decisions we have made on this hacking event.

(1)  The hacking loss on dogecoin/bitcoin/litecoin wallets yesterday around $1500 USD will be taken by our owner and operator Blastinvest, LLC.  Users of exchange will not take losses on this event.
(2)  The shorelinecrypto exchange business will go through a closure and liquidation process while shorelinecrypto software business will operate as usual.
(3) We will shortly announce a procedure for all shorelinecrypto exchange users to obtain your refund on your remaining balances.  Because the exchange software is unsafe and the web site will not return online soon,  we mainly communicate through bitcointalk ann page and discord announcement.  Please stay tuned.

Well that sucks, sorry to hear about what happened. Do you know if this is the fault in general of the opentrade ​platform or some custom coding you did or something else?

Just my opinions feel free to ignore.

1) Don't just leave the site off. Even 1 page sitting there to direct people to this thread would be useful.

2) Keep a running log of what is going on in this thread. Don't disappear for days while working on stuff. Even if it's a few lines just telling us what you did / are doing.

3) Keep it all public.

Shorelinecrypto Exchange Shutdown Notice with Refund Details

As we announced earlier on. the hacking event caused severe loss on exchange while users username or password were not hacked or leaked on that event. We now announce that ShorelineCrypto Exchange will completely shut down on Feb 26, 2022.

For those ShorelineCrypto Exchange members to obtain refund from your existing shorelinecrypto balance, please make sure that you do following steps before our shut down date or your remaining balance will be forfeited and will not be refunded past that shutdown date.

We have now re-started shorelinecrypto.com web page and all coins have disabled trading, but some coins have withdraw function enabled. You can login with your usual username/password to perform below steps to obtain refund.

Step 1 - Cancel Orders for All Coins

After you login into shorelinecrypto exchange account, you should go to all the coins, and cancel your existing orders, cancel all the buy or sell orders completely so that your coins on hold for the buy/sell orders will be returned to your balance.  Check Your balances on all coins and make sure they are all correct.

Step 2 - Withdraw for Self Serving Coins


Below list of coins have withdraw function enabled.  You should go ahead and perform withdraw as usual, confirm with your email and withdraw the coins to your own private wallets from exchange.

Sorry to see you go out of business this way, OP.  I know you were a very small exchange, but you were one of the only ones to list Curecoin (and thanks to DaveF and you for making that happen), which is a coin I've supported as well as the project underlying it for some time.

Has Shorelinecrypto ever made claims like this without backing them up?  I haven't read through this entire thread, but as far as I know there haven't been any scam accusations against them, and the owner seems to be an honest, decent guy.  Plus even with the hack and closure, people are not reporting that they're not getting their coins back, so I wouldn't be too hard on him.  The bottom line is that the exchange is closing down, and enough notice has been given to the customers to get their funds out--and that's way more than a lot of other exchanges have done when they've shut down.

Note on Microsoft Email and 020 Withdraw

Microsoft hotmail/outlook etc block shorelinecrypto ip address.  Change to another email that works on your profile page as email confirmation is required to withdraw self service coins.

Some members reported difficulty on withdrawing 020LondonCoin (O2O).   There is O2O per withdraw limit due to blockchain limit there. Try to withdraw no more than 20 million 020 per withdraw and you can do multiple withdraws  to get all O2O  balance out by yourself.
