You have a long list of altcoin portfolio that have tanked down by 90% since you participated in the ICO.  What was $5000 is now worth $500.  You are at a loss of $4000 and there happen to be an upcoming token sale that is pretty hyped.

You are in desperate need to recover your losses and you plan to invest in that hyped token sale in hope that you can earn 5-10x.  Would you:

1. Pump fresh fiat out of your pocket into the token sale or
2. Trade off the the altcoins you have for BTC/ETH and invest into that hyped token sale.

1. I wouldn't invest in hyped coins just to recover my previous losses. There are lots of people who are paid by companies to hype their coins.
2. If there is no progress in the coin in the market and only a few people do trade, then I might consider to trade it to bitcoin but I won't buy the hype coin.

Agree! Don't be fooled with that hyped token sale. You might end up losing your money again. You have to think wisely on where will you invest your money. Invest with those who have a potential to grow in the future. Not just because of that hyped.

You need to think wiser to avoid  certain mistake again, option 1 can work if you already learned from the last dumped, you have to make some good research and review each projects that will be introduced, while doing that, don't trade your last investment and treat it for long term assets, you can
make things possible if you will not stop learning how to succeed from this filed of industry.

I try to multiply my assets by selling them during a small pump and buying them back upon return. This is also risky, but so far I have been lucky.

If you experience a loss, of course, everyone must have experienced this. Therefore all you have to do is not play on one altcoin. Because you can restore your losses if you play only one altcoin. You have to play on many altcoins to prevent your losses on one altcoin and make a profit on other altcoins.

Add more funds into it but IF the ICO you invest is really good. If not then just cut loss and invest it to other coins. I think it's more better to give up and just cash your coins and move on to other coins or trading it with the rest of your balance.

Like many here, I lost quite a lot of money. But I will not sell those coins that I have for a penny. If I see a good project and I am sure that I can earn-I "pump fresh fiat out of my pocket".I chose a certain circle of coins in which I invest and try not to change it-not to move from one coin to another.

I think I will buy and invest in btc but it will take a lot of time to recover your lost, the situation in the market is not too good so if you buy another token or ICO it could make you lost more money, even if you hold the unknown coin for a long time there are no certainty you can get profit, but if you hold btc or eth you got a bigger chance to make profit

What you have to do is to make a betted decision this time, invest on a more good coins so you will not lose money again. That’s usually a mistake of greedy people like newbies, they just think to make easy money well that can be the worst result to you. Its hard to get back that losses, don’t focus on that try to make a new investment and focus on your new goal.

I think close to 80% are not just useless but very useless to be honest. After all the hype from acorn collective and the so claimed fund raised they still shut down and I have come to a conclusion that may alternate coin are just so useless and many will still go down

I can't trade most of my altcoins off because I have lost so much from them. Instead of doing so, I will pump more fiat, buy many undervalue projects also continue to do my short term trading as I have been doing before.

To restore losses is indeed very difficult. We must have a very strong will to rise again. If you believe you can make short-term trading. This trade can generate profits every day, but you will also suffer losses. So you also have to be careful when buying coins.

I would not sell or trade crypto currencies at the moment, because the market is still very unstable. The only solution if you want to take part in a token sale is to get some extra fiat funds and buy more crypto currencies.

Invest some altcoins that are already on the top 10 list. Just look at coinmarketcap. They are on their dump price so you can sell your reward token and buy established and old coins. Do not just stick to that coind you have. Or, you can also buy at least ETH.

You might loose all your tokens if you will go for the number 1 it is better to trade your top pick coin for you to earn even a little it is much better rather than an instant profit from another investment. You only need to have a patience when trading coin because you can earn from it but not that huge.

You should not take it as long term investment but just try to pick it up for short term investment and look at how promising will always give investors a huge profit and if we have been getting it and just sold them asap. that's the strategy in the token sale market.

I have a bit different way to minimize my loss. I increase my participation in bounty campaigns so I can get more free tokens to recover my loss. In my case, I have suffered a big loss as all my coins have declined almost by two thirds. But I have not sold off them in the hopes that one day they will increase in prices and give me much benefits.

we have all made mistakes in this market. some of us made small mistakes leading to small losses like -30% but some others remained in denial of the dumps and lost up to -95% of their investment.

what you should do after a mistake is to learn from it and do not repeat it ever again. in this case it means never bag holding any altcoin that continues losing value or invest in any  ICO which is obviously going to fail sooner or later.

I, too, in 2018 lost more than 85% of my Bitcoins. But this year I will invest and trade, I want to restore my capital.
