If I run a batch file inside an cmd window ran as administrator before mining, it isn't stable or as good as running one line at a time AFTER mining starts.  That's a little awkward and I am still looking for a good way to automate that.  May have to go back to using powershell.  It has proved valuable for my VEGA 56/64 reference cards, took ETH mining from 44 to 47, not that that is even profitable right now. <sigh>
You probably have to play with CALL and TIMEOUT instructions to delay tool start.
The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Eliovp, great work on this tool.  Here are some of my results:

OS: linux/Ubuntu 18.04
miner: teamredminer 0.4.3
card: Vega 64 air cooled (MSI air boost OC w/ samsung mem)
core clock: ~1150Mhz
mem clock: 1100Mhz
timings modified: --rp 10 --rc 44 --rfc 300 --rrd 3 --rcdrd 12 --rcdwr 5
hashrate w/ stock timings: ~19.5kh/s
hashrate w/ new timings: 21.36kh/s

Unfortunately I don't have power readings from this rig, so I'm not sure how much the power usage increased with the new timings.
I think the card can be pushed more, but I don't have the time to keep tuning at the moment.

Holy OMG !!!!!!
I dont understand the various parameters, but i just followed todxx timings on my vega 64(air cooled/samsung).

Results:
Miner : SRBMiner 1.8.3
Algo : Cryptonight litev7
Clocks : 1408/1107/875 (ODT)
Actual : 1354/1107/850 (HWinfo)

Stock Timing : 4530 h/s
Todxx Timing : 4800 h/s

Thx Eliovp for the tool and todxx for making it way easier.

Will keep posting the magic as i try more algorithms Smiley

I have done a lot of debating with myself whether i would share this.
Well, i decided to do so and on top of that, open source it.

Bravo, great to see you're still around Heliox, will give it a spin this weekend and post results.
Its good to see the old wizards (ElioVP, jstenfanop, Laik2, scryptr, Claymore, Doktor83) all out in one thread again, talking all technical making us feel stupid.
Also great to see long term lurkers dagarair, rednoW, dragonmike, p00p135, Walrusbonzo and an actual thread being active. I missed this shit.

Here is my first test.

Driver: 18.6.1 with Dragonmike PPT (txs Mike :-))
Rig: 2x Vega56 reference (V64 bios) + 1x Vega 64 Strix + 1x RX570
Miner: TeamRedMiner 0.4.3
Core: 1280/870mV Mem: 1100/870mV (in OverdriveNtool)

Todxx settings for Vegas, with "i" selected only Vegas: --i 0,2,3 --CL 20 --RAS 33 --RCDRD 12 --RCDWR 5 --RC 44 --RP 10 --RRDS 3 --RRDL 3 --RTP 5 --FAW 16 --CWL 7 --WTRS 4 --WTRL 9 --WR 16 --WRRD 1 --RDWR 19 --REF 3900 --MRD 8 --MOD 15 --PD 8 --CKSRE 10 --CKSRX 10 --RFC 300

Same settings of the miner and Turtle/Loki mining:

Vega 56 (64 bios) from 19.2 to 20.3 hk/s ;-) L20+20
Vega 64 Asus Strix from 19.5 to 13.2 hk/s ;-( L24+24

So, for reference card work nice, but need to tune for every card...

Tested Vega 64 Strix config in miner from L18+18 to L28+28 including 20+20 etc...
Best result:
Vega 64 Asus Strix from 19.5 to 19.9 hk/s  L20+20

One of the "problematic" Vega56 after 30 min running got 4 rejected share invalid result too... So I have to tune this card more...
Is there any suggestion?

Power: from 680W to 705W = 25W more for rig from the wall.

CNR same settings quick run: Vega 56 got +100 H/s.

Txs Eliovp!

Hmm - I'm running the tool but just get a quick flash when using current.

I add pause to it, doesn't seem to help.

I've turned User Access Control Off...

Is that working stable for anybody?
that rcdwr is very low. GPU crashes in a few minutes for me.

I've continued to tweak todxx's first suggestions. I know he based a lot of his testing on his Vega FE, that's why the --rfc is high compared to stock values for Vega 64, he forgot to dial that down before posting. I'm currently only testing on a Vega 64 LC, might be very capable in terms of handing tightened timings, but yes I'm running 100% stable with those timings.

I'm also stable with the same timings and --rfc 250 which gave me an additional boost. Modified timings would be
Code:
--rp 10 --rc 44 --rfc 250 --rrd 3 --rcdrd 12 --rcdwr 5

I don't want to hijack this thread to talk about specific miner(s), but just this single note since people seem to be keen on running tests: if you run tests with TMR 0.4.3, CN-turtle is really the only variant that fully utilizes the modded timings because it pounds that mem controller like crazy in any setup. You might see improvements in CN/r and other variants, but we will release a new version shortly that has a mode dedicated to running with modded straps. Current tests on my Vega 64 LC hits 2320 h/s CN/r at 1407@900, 1107@900. These settings might not be stable on blower 64s, we'll see. I will continue testing other Vega models that I own over the weekend (Vega 56 ref flashed 64 and Vega 56 Hynix HBM).

Code:
--rp 10 --rc 44 --rfc 250 --rrd 3 --rcdrd 12 --rcdwr 5

Thank you for the info.
I will give it another go.

BTW for current version '--rrd 3' should be replaced with '--rrds 3 --rrdl 3' otherwise it won't be set

Edit: Tried it again on my ref V64 Samsung, but same... it crashes after about 1 min.
BTW what's the point in such low rcd if you don't set ras accordingly?

this is my best settings so far for sapphire vega56 pulse hynix flashed with nitro vega 64 bios.
gpu-z clocks and voltages are 1280/1020@0.8063v
trtl: 19.27 kh/s with teamread

winamdtweak --rc 45 --rcdrd 12 --rcdwr 5 --rp 13 --faw 16

any tighter timings for --rp give gpu_dead
any tighter timings for --rc give hw errors

I tried to use Windows version on RX470 cards with modded BIOS. After few attempts with freezing and almost no improvments while Ethash-coins mining, it seems to me useless to use it on GDDR5 cards with modded BIOS. Some information about AMD Memory tweaker in Russian is here: https://www.cryptoprofi.info/?p=2713

One of my ref Vegas doesn't seem to like the tighter timings (just been using Todxx's for now). It doesn't crash, just hashes quite a bit slower when timings are applied. Not too sure what to make of it. I tried compensating by reducing intensity (cn_config) for that card, even lower clocks, but no luck.

If anyone has a suggestion on which timing could be the culprit, fire away.

EDIT: just as I wrote, the GPU went dead. Gonna have to tweak.
EDIT2: here we go, increased --rp from 10 to 12 and that weaksauce-GPU is doing 21+ kh/s like his little buddies. Ka-pow!

Used Kearney666 settings but followed RedN0w's advice on the --rc parameter:

--rp 10 --rc 45 --rfc 250 --rrd 3 --rcdrd 12 --rcdwr 5

Win10

Average hash rate for Reference Sapphire Vega 56s flashed to reference 64 comes out to 2012 kh/s per card.  Most cards are somewhere around 2,030 - 2,050 kh/s but two cards aren't registering much of a benefit.

First time I launched the Command console in Admin mode and ran my "newtimings" .bat file, I got a weird Posix video timing Windows error.

I relaunched almost immediately and Teamred 0.4.3 is running fine so far.  So I have some work to do with the two weaker cards, but for very little work a nice bump up.

I haven't connected up a power meter to do before/after power consumption.

Thanks Heliox.
