Suppose we have a Bitcoin wallet. Is it possible to understand whether there is no access to this wallet for any purpose?

There will be people who wonder why I ask this question. Because I ask, I want to print a piece of metal wallet. Or rather a wallet sold in this way. There are QR codes on both sides of this wallet and one is Private and the other is Public key.

Quote

It looks like that. But I want to buy it somewhere. Or I'll create an order who can.
So I have to know that someone access ever in this wallet or not. It is a great way of keepin BTC but it is hard to trust someone.
Just like what you've said, it's hard to trust someone and for me this is not a good idea, to have a piece of metal wallet is not good because the ones who will create this kind of wallet will definitely have an access to all our wallets although it is beautiful creation but this is not a good idea. It can steal our bitcoin.

If you're not gonna DIY, unfortunately, you will have to trust the producer's words that they do not keep a copy of the pk so choose a brand whose products have been here for a long time and is still being traded up until now, preferably if the owner has shown their face in public- highly reputable in other words.

As for authenticity, you need to search for the specific product but from what I've seen they usually have the tamper-proof hologram which needs to be taken off in order to view the pk so you'll know when someone has messed with it.

or maybe you can just buy a physical bitcoin whose seal has been taken off/coins have been spent and just think of a way to put a newly generated keys (by you ofc) on it.

Google : Casascius physical bitcoins, also called Casascius coins. It was minted and sold as collectors items, because private individuals are not allowed to print or mint their own currency. They used holograms and other tactics to protect the private keys linked to some of these coins.

The problem with these coins are the fact that you never know if the private key has been compromised by the creator of the coins. I would not trust large amounts of coins to the Bitcoin address linked to the private keys used with these coins.  Wink

I'm not clear about your question what do you want it isn't clear. What do you want to know about bitcoin wallet?  Moreover I'm just say something basic things about bitcoin wallet. You can use bitcoin wallet through the money transaction, send BTC, receive BTC and it's also keep safe your BTC.

Wasn;'t exactly clear on what you wanted to know. But seems like you want to know if you buy this kind of a coin from someone, then will it be safe or not. The simple answer is no it won't be, because the seller would have had access to the private key. Only buy from reputed sellers selling the same. Even then, withdraw the bitcoins from the address because it will be known to the seller in the future as well.

I don't think reputed or not sellers can give me warranty.

If you order one then I guess that the private key that is embedded in that coin has a copy which is disturbing. I guess it would be best if you can create one on your own. If you have a trusted local shop there then you can embed one, I won't buy such cold storage like that.

How can I do it myself. I need CNC device for making it.

You should visit the collectibles section. There are several coins and other products that have a private key. And they serve to store Bitcoin for a long period. There in the collectibles section, enthusiasts will be able to help you explaining the safety and ways to preserve such a product. but the important thing is to know that if the private key was created by someone else, you will never have complete security over that address

The subject is clear. I want to buy a wallet like this one but there is a big problem. How can I keep my assets in that wallet? Sellers may store all PK's and waiting for fund that wallets.

It's fine with public key but I would suggest you to not share your private key.

You can write your pvk on piece of paper and put it somewhere safe like bank lockers or something than sharing with those qr code printer guys.

I thought of that, of course. But the best way to hide a PK would be a metal coin. I can keep it safe. I want this coin on one side of the private key on the other face should be Public Key. It may include keys with words&number also in circle.
