Guys I want to ask a question I do not understand completely. I have heard about many coins that are mine-able. What is mining means? What is proofs of stake, which is popular at this point of time. And can I mine in my android or I need special types of desktop, laptop or mobile? Do I need some amount of mine-able coin for mining? Please help me.

Wrong Board!

Please move the thread to Mining (BTC), if you are looking to learn about bitcoin mining, or move the thread to Mining (Altcoins), if you wish to learn altcoin mining.

Check bottom left for "move topic" option.

edit: If you search and read through the above mentioned two boards then you will be able to learn about mining.

I can see that you are a newbie in the crypto space and don't really know anything about the blockchain and how it really works, I think the best for you to do is to download videos about the blockchain and mining or better still you can buy good books written about bitcoin and how it works and then you might be able to understand what mining is actually talking about, because it is very large and I might be able to just tell you what mining is all in just one reply that's why I advice videos would be the best.

What is mining means?
https://www.webopedia.com/TERM/C/cryptocurrency-mining.html

What is proofs of stake
Mining is Proof of Work (PoW) while staking/proof of stake (PoS) is you hold a certain amount of coin and you get to mine through holding that amount, you will also get rewarded for that. It's almost the same as masternodes but they have difference. ETH is about to change from PoW to PoS soon.

And can I mine in my android or I need special types of desktop, laptop or mobile?
There are some claims that allows you to mine through mobile but it's not advisable, the same goes for laptop. What you need when you mine is you need a specific machine called ANTMINER that's dedicated to mine bitcoin and few specific altcoins. But if you love to mine altcoins, you can do it with GPUs.

Do I need some amount of mine-able coin for mining?
You need a capital for the hardware.

Yes, there are mineable coins and not mineable coins in cryptocurrency.
I think you can search for that list in the google, or in website such coinmarketcap to find out about it.
Here is the link of the mineable coin list : https://coinmarketcap.com/coins/views/filter-non-mineable/
Proof of stake = Yes, you need some amount of coin to be staked.

I think you can also start mining using dogecoin, because I have also proven for several months with many advantages to see and follow this it is very useful to walk up to one year to the next 4 years.
