Hello guys
 Roll Eyes
I just wanted to discuss - *DO WE NEED BITCOIN GOVERNMENT?*

Let's just put it in a simple way Bitcoins is being harassed by the governments , the banks , the private sector , the bulls , the investors and it's just something that we cannot control.

What if we had a government for Bitcoins to support it , to legalize it like some normal currency , off course while keeping it's main points strong and not converting that into fiat.

What if it was accepted into the normal currency system?
I would like to say that I understand already that it's not just a currency , it's a store house of value , it's more than that, but integrating this currency 2.0,  Cheesy would not only increase it's stability but would also give the users rights.

And to do all this we need something like a Bitcoin government , which will support it ,legalize it , purse the lawsuits , give the users rights .

It will make Bitcoin something that every fiat worshipping government and off course banks and all , will more or so accept ( forcefully though) but let's face it ,it will be still better than the dictatorship in North Korea and no one says anything about it -_- why would this matter to them ? As long as we are not Harming others.

We just need a integrated environment because let's face it there are 111 out of 251 regions where Bitcoins is legal and to make it global everlasting integrated crypto currency , we do need all of these 251 regions to agree to this ( if not all then 90% the least )

That Bitcoin government wouldn't exist for sure. Why? Consider on how he would faced up current centralized government worldwide? How can it be approved nor to operate as it should be
without violating any rules that do centralized government had?

Theres no point on creating one yet people do like crypto as it is and we can stand without the need of that Bitcoin government.

Government, banks and others doesnt harass bitcoin. Well in fact they are the ones who cultivate it. Those ten countries who banned it are just like that and we cannot do anything about it. The ratio 111:10 is better knowing a large portion of the world is into cryptocurrency and even those 10 countries are powerful, we can afford to still use it as a currency. On the other hand, we dont need to make it centralized if this is what you are talking about. Crypto is known to be decentralized and it works that way. We dont have to change it. The ones who needs to adjust is us, the government and not the cryptosystem itself.

I am no longer consider an harassment from government side rather then a more sweet control amoung the crypto world and protectiveness against hackers and Money laundering.

You can already see positive thinkings from government itself: https://www.trustnodes.com/2019/02/12/two-american-pension-funds-invest-in-crypto

Take a good look into government actions these days as they are not so darker than last year.

what you are asking for sounds a lot like centralization and it won't ever go fine with bitcoin. we are all here because we wanted a decentralized currency without a "government" to control it or make any kind of decisions for its future, legalization,...

Why we need bitcoin government while we have the real bitcoin now? The government can create its own crypto, but it's never beat bitcoin. They can control their own coins, but they cannot control the other coin unless they need to have big funds to buy a lot of amount of the coins so maybe they try to control.
Soon, if the government think that bitcoin can bring new hope for the people, they will approve bitcoin and altcoin, and they will let people choose what currency they want to use.

No we do not need bitcoin government as bitcoin is decentralized, there should be no one who control over it. Just let bitcoin like what we knew since the first time. It is OK for government to legalize it but still the government has no full control over the transactions.

Actually it is not bitcoin government. We should call it as e-governance and the world moving towards to implement for better experience and upgrading.
You may need to read more about the Estonia government's e-governance to learn more about it

People living in countries where they have a democracy and a legitimate government with a legitimate voting system, can vote for a government that are pro Bitcoin. The problem is, if there are more people against Bitcoin in that country, then they will have the majority vote and you will not have your pro Bitcoin government.

People just have to use their voting power to support a pro Bitcoin government at the voting poles, to achieve this.  Wink

Bitcoin was built on a decentralized platform while a government is centralized. A bitcoin government would contradict each other out. You cant put those two things together without changing some rules from both parties.
Exactly. I totally concur. This goes against everything cryptocurrencies stand for. Majority of the cryptocurrency supporters would be against this whole scenario for obvious reasons which is a why a Bitcoin government is a silly idea.

Decentralization all the freaking way!

I just wanted to discuss - *DO WE NEED BITCOIN GOVERNMENT?*

NO, never.

you can however start groups, foundations,... and call it whatever you like such as bitcoin-foundation, bitcoin-governance,... and do things you were talking about in here. but you will have to fund all those "groups" out of your own pocket and do it as a form of non-profit thing because bitcoin is decentralized and nobody is going to pay you to do things like legalizing it, pursuing lawsuits,...

thats not possible . every country is known to only have one government and they manly support local currencies  but i like this idea  .  bitcoin will be  more legal and more indemand if this idea is real   .   and by the  way  , there are cryptos that are known to be centralized and backed by banks/government  ( ripple for example )    . most countries and governments nowadays are now also supporting or legalizing the use of cryptos  .

arent you aware with that op  ?

Your right mate, but aside from what you have already mentioned is the simple reason why we are all here now?Isn't it for freedom?were all here because we want to have full control of our money and this are being denied from us by banks and governments and thats why we converted our bank deposits to investments here in cryptocurrency.we dont need government because we are the governor of our own assets here and this is what we must be thankful about the creation of crypto and ofcourse to satoshi nakamoto

I do not think there is a need to have a Bitcoin government since Bitcoin is decentralized, all transaction is managed by codes from different machines confirming and verifying the legitimacy of it.  If a government is established, the decentralization will automatically be nullified since a governing body will automatically control all the activities of Bitcoin thus making it not different from a bank.    Bitcoin is good as it is and the government already accepting Bitcoin and adopting it without changing its code/features rather they just make their way round to implement their standard, especially in anti-money laundering by implementing KYC on different exchanges where Bitcoin is being traded.

~snip~
The fact that the creator himself has moved away from bitcoin tells us quite enough in which direction bitcoin shoud go, and that is decentralization. If only one man make decisions things would be completely different probably in a negative sense. In the case of some bitcoin government the problems would become even bigger, not just because of centralization but also because of the way how those people should be elected.

Real power of bitcoin is in people, millions of voices speak as one (not as Borg), and facts that it is very hard or impossible to silence them all. Some imaginary government which would represent bitcoin would be subject to various manipulations and influences of actual governments, this is not something we want.

I agree. And how do we suppose to elect a governing body for something ungovernable like btc? Seems impissible and it definitely would not get any support if some group manage to come up with an idea. It's one thing that banks dislike about crypto. It gives power of individual holders over their own money. Having a governing body over that feature contradicts what btc is supposed to be.

You mean there must be a government or a central authority that may control/manage bitcoin? If this happens it will become centralized, bitcoin was developed for the people across the globe which is not managed by anyone but only the users and to be decentralized cannot be controlled by any entity or groups. Bitcoin dont need this kind of government, what btc need is regulation from a government to become a legal money with value.

Some kind of advertisement / information guides about this particular subject so that every each individual worldwild person would understand the meaning of virtual currencies and how it could change their daily lifes.

That's somehow true. One, if not, the main advantage of using cryptocurrencies is its decentralized characteristic, whereby no one power or entity controls it, which makes its available and open for everyone to transact and use wherever you are in the world. The freedom it gives to its users and the various ways one can use it in any department or type of investments gives its a big advantage as compared to other similar assets. Although its volatility may be a  disadvantage too it, which at times, drives people away from totally embracing it, many are still believers and would still want to invest and use it as a present and future investment.
