Ok well this is dumb. Do we have source code? Lets clone it and release it public from day 1 this time.

Here we go. Right here on the downloads page. Lets fork this thing Grin https://bytecoin.org/downloads

Lol, the Bytecoin sourceode is FULL of bugs. The whole thing is a mess, Monero has so far cleaned up the Bytecoins sourcecode immensely from a plethora of bugs and released the coin without any instamine or premine, even the Bytecoin miner wasnt working until monero devs fixed it..
well that's just false, I was mining bytecoin well before xmr was out.

These "bugs" were partialy due to the changes the Monero made to the code. So in a sense they were cleaning up their own bugs. I would like to see how Monero devs match up against those who wrote the code for the coin. Place your bets.

Why are you lying...The Bytecoin devs copy/pasted one of Moneros updates from Github into Bytecoins code and that caused a major issue with Bytecoin today, where users have been losing coins theyve sent to different wallets. It has nothing to do with Monero, just Bytecoin's incompetent devs.

Monero and Boolberry devs are the best when it comes to cryptonote code IMO.

Be very wary of relying on JavaScript for security on crypto sites. The site can change the JavaScript at any time unless you take unusual precautions, and browsers are not generally known for their airtight security.

you do realize that monero is a fork of bytecoin right not the other way around.

I am not denying that the monero devs are good, but xmr is a clone.

When integrating code from Monero that fixed the bug for the txmempool making blocks with no blockreward, the BCN devs neglected to limit the size of transactions produced by the wallet. So, net effect, the wallet is allowed to generate tx that are never allowed into the blockchain because they would make the block sizes too big.

I have submitted a pull request to fix their problem:
https://github.com/amjuarez/bytecoin/pull/24

They should really review our code more carefully if they want to borrow it, and at least attribute us for it.

I'm glad to see XMR developers try to do something for BCN and CN technology in general. Thank you. Collaboration is the right way to prosperity.

Btw I'm sorry monero devs are not qualified enough to do really useful fixes. Once again!  Embarrassed
you should try harder, guys!

Monero diff is too high right now, so i will mine some ducknotes until monero will be pumped or bytecoin will be fixed  Wink

Upd: maybe i was wrong - some of bytecoins just arrived on poloniex  Smiley

It seems with binaries from 29-06 problem is solved!
I rebuilt wallet from scratch (backup&rename old bin file) and after resyncing wallet I see my coins & trying to send 1 bcn it said sucessful transaction...
Hopefully it will arrive Smiley

that doesn't mean it was solved, I was able to send up to 80000 at one point but anything over that would error.. trying send a large amount. 500000 or something.
I am fixng on of the pools really quick then I will test.

I would agree but I can send small amounts now, can anyone verify if this latest fix allows for larger amounts, 500k or so?

I already did that after downloading 29-06 binaries

Tried sending 1 bcn - and got successful transaction
10min later tried second  - Failed, tried sending to my 2nd wallet - again failed.
First one is not visible as incoming Poloniex...
Second one was to my backup wallet...
ATM I see no reason to regenerate wallet for 3rd time

BTW there is spelling error in daemon
