You are right, but there are some holders, whales who hold also altcoins like ETH, LTC.... and they don't convert always this coins to bitcoin, maybe only when they want to cash out and that altcoin not have pair with USD. But most people use bitcoin and want bitcoin, this is good for price, and now the price keeps grow.

on our country there as a local wallet here that you call coins.ph  ,  it is an wallet/exchange and it supports several top cryptos namely xrp , bch , eth . we cannot cashout our money directly if its not converted to bitcoins or to fiat currency  .  im not sure if other wallet/exchanges do also does this or they allow direct cashout using altcoins and tokens  . but its possibly to buy altcoins directly using fiat   .

That's the truth OP. In the end everything goes back to BTC. You see BTC grows - alts grow too, BTC drops - alts go down too. In the long run tho, I think that BTC will reach its previous ATH and it's far from dead. One thing I don't understand is why people think that machine learning techniques can predict the price of Bitcoin. I mean wtf? No software can predict when someone is going to buy or sell huge amounts of BTC lol.

It's been that way and will be that way for a long time, Bitcoin's superiority over all the other coins are just to wide, that people should stop posting that their coins going to beat or overtake Bitcoin, it's just enough that they managed to the top 20 in the market.

I definitely agree with you on this. Not everyone converts into Bitcoin. Me for instead, I prefer converting most of my altcoins into Ethereum and use it for my day to day transactions online. The reason I prefer Ethereum is due to the fact that the average time needed to send Ethereum to another person is further less than that of Bitcoin. Also, Ethereum is currently one of the best coin to invest in.

Yes I also agree that ethereum is best to invest in these days, because of it's promising increase on the marketplace. Thinking about bitcoin as God of all crypto, I think holding and never selling bitcoin is a wise choice today. Once you dump all your btc's, you'll regret it in your whole life specially when the price started to burst out and pump insanely. Considering btc as God of all crypto, all altcoins community was all dependent on how the entire btc community will be subjected to one signal which will trigger more pumps in the market.

yes. BTC is the king of crypto, but I prefer to convert other crypto to ETH, and I also prefer investing in ETH, because the ETH value is still very low. I also have BTC assets but my ETH assets are bigger than BTC assets. I thought, I was late to invest in BTC with a high value.

oh yes, of course because Bitcoin is the parent of all coins in crypto. every coin in crypto can be replaced with Bitcoin and all Altcoins prices are controlled by Bitcoin. if the coins you have cannot be converted into Bitcoin then your coins are not from crypto or just junk coins.

That's true for now, I don't know in the future.
If BTC will be able to maintain it's dominance then maybe it will still be the God, but I doubt as this market is very unpredictable.
Competition is good and it's huge, lots of tech coming and who knows if BTC might be replace by a better one.

It's still on the top so whatever it is most investors and holders will continue to hold bitcoin instead of other alts, they will convert their assets to bitcoin since it's really gaining a lots of supporters, being the first and most known no doubt that it will continue being more useful along the way, bitcoin will continue the dominance around this investment industry.

May be I didn’t get your words.But partially I agree.And just to let you know I have the facility to transfer ETH to fiat or Doge to fiat.I know some website that can help me to convert these altcoin and give me fiat.So, I don't had to rely on bitcoin all the time rather I sell altcoin to those and I get fiat.

Bitcoin is like what Debian is to the GNU/Linux ecosystem.

Debian is the father of 80% of the Linux OS, all others are forks. Ubuntu is a fork of Debian, Lubuntu is a fork of Ubuntu, and so on.
While Debian is not the most used Linux OS, it's one of the most stable and solid OS. All alternatives OS coexist together and the open source community and its users are fine with this.

It should be the same with Bitcoin and the alternate coins. We may have different needs that make us prefer one coin over another. Americans may prefer Ripple, Asians may prefer ETH, you may prefer Doge for its cheap Tx fees, etc, but you have to admit Bitcoin is the king

Maybe people who think that bitcoin is a coin that is always prioritized to have is because the market capitalization possessed by bitcoin is far greater than the altcoin so they believe that having bitcoin will always be profitable even though basically all coins can benefit depending on how fluctuations that occur on each coin. Until now bitcoin has always been a reference for movement for altcoins and it is difficult for altcoin to be able to replace the first position of bitcoin which is so far considered the mother of cryptocurrency.

If there's something that I disliked whenever prices go up, other than FUD articles, are the tons of articles that start playing the "prediction game", especially those that write an exact price.

Most of the time they're nothing but clickbait articles trying to take advantage of the overall bullish sentiment surrounding the market since the people behind these websites know that users, especially crypto newbies and btc newcomers, are now looking for news that can somehow tell them that they made the right choice (this behaviour is known as confirmation bias) by investing during the spike in the price because the price will (allegedly) keep going up.

Just look at the shitty article this user linked. The title says "price will touch 23500 in 2019" (massive clickbait) but nowhere in the article you can find a thorough explanation or analysis as to why exactly it will reach that exact price, their only "explanation" was: "the year holds good prospect and development for BTC like NASDAQ launching BTC future"...What?

And then the stupidity of this article reaches its peak when they start talking about price movements at specific time frames in 2020 (with no charts or TA), and they go as far as to predict what the price is going to be in 2023! All in all, this is another website that I will now block in my browser.

They keep on watching bitcoin and still they can’t beat bitcoin on top. I agree, some centralized coin are really meant to create money and not a good technology. Bitcoin is the king of all coins, they pleased bitcoin to lift them up but no worries because bitcoin is too generous and it will help other coins to go high also.

Yes, just like gold is the god of metals. Others have different properties, and many different use cases, but at the end of the day, gold is the one most people want. The same is with bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies....there are many other coins, with different use cases, but bitcoin is the one most people want.

Why? Because Gold has a lot of the customer's preference and that is something you cannot easily beat. Then you can take all the other aspects into account, like for example, it is the symbol.

What you say is true, but not entirely true. That's right because bitcoin is the only pioneer of cryptocurrency as well as one of the first implementations called cryptocurrency. Until now bitcoin has often been used as an indicator of growth by most crypto market analysis.

As far as I know each crypto coin has the chance to be the best which of course refers to how large the number of users is each coin, therefore maybe not everyone will convert their crypto into bitcoin based on their trust and enthusiasm.

Yep, bitcoin is the most dominant coin at current, but hardly do we make an accurate  prediction previously because the crypto market is basically volatile. But till now no coin has the chance to defeat the first-position of bitcoin. Honestly this  first decentralized cryptocurrency always attracts a huge trust from many people. Although it’s the oldest coin, it’s still the best one. I hope that bitcoin can make more breakthrough both now and in the future.
