is it possible to recall a report

I just wondering, if there is a wa to recall a report.
Meaning if you report a post because of something and after a while you think.. damm it was not worth to report or wrong reported.

sure, i know a bad report is better than non report but i thought about this to not give too much work to the administrators.

i think its not possible so what about such a feature request?

Guess the only way if the report isnt handled is to write to the Moderator or an Global Moderator and
explain why you think it should not be deleted or reported and your report will be a bad report then and the post dont get deleted !

For now there isn't any option to recall reports and don't see much use of this though are moderators complaining?
There must have been something you saw before making that report therefore if you have a change of mind then let the moderators do the job of deciding if the report is good or not, if it's marked good, good for the forum but if it's marked as bad no worries I don't think moderators are complaining of receiving much report then they can handle.

Yes, its not possible right now but its a good idea to have this one since we misjudge people sometimes.

Since there is no way to recall that report right now, you'd better to give a fair judgement and if you don't sure about your feedback, then don't leave any feedback because it can hurt the user in the future, be responsible.

We have to report responsibly and yeah some users here are doing a great job and yet they are still being reported for some reason. Well, I believe the moderator will have their own analysis and judgement, and for sure they will not just decide on what you have been provided. The recall of a report can also be abused and make the system more complicated for the moderators so I think its better to be careful than to make the system more complicated.

Perhaps this feature is useful & will be included in the future as @theymos has been presented some ideas of the prizes for people who report.
It will be similar to remove " Report to moderator" feature when you report a post/topic to "Cancel your report."[Also, useful to know that you have been reporting this topic/post before.]

I remember once that I reported and mod sent pm explaining why he did not take any action.

Just report the post again, and say something like "SORRY please ignore my report, I misread x and it's actually y".
I've done it before, and both reports were marked as good.

This is, a good approach. But sure best is not to report false

yes this will be a good idea also to notice that you report before. Ok you can look in your reporting history but with this idea its faster.
