The chain seems pretty borked.

PoS blocks obviously can't be successfully pushed to the network when this happens. When PoS chains go wrong they become their own worst problem.

Quite a few old clients on the network still and everyone restarting won't help nodes to find a consensus, if that is even possible.

Code needs to be reviewed.

Anyway, I've set-up 2 addnodes.

Code:
addnode=198.100.127.34
addnode=198.100.127.36

...
everybody needs to update to the new wallet, and then have addnodes and the config from the OP, delete everything in %appdata% but WALLET.DAT and config file, and let it sync.
my client is working great now
to me it seems just like a badly announced fork that everyone needs to reupdate so we can all get in sync, but i have lost none of my coins from this, except possible a few from orphaned stake blocks from a cpl days ago, which i will get over, lol

so how many gajillion coins do you have to have to get a stake? I'm not gonna blast all four cores mining to MAYBE have it get something every few weeks. I spent a fair amount of electricity to run this failed experiment. If 89k coins is not enough to generate a stake, then what's the point?

You guys won't get rewarded everyday from stake! Do some research on how pos works on other coins.  It's the same thing people crying right off the bat they haven't got anything. This is not mining. It is a energy saving way of keeping up the block chain and getting some reward. If you want to mine then pow is for you.

Repeating the same thing doesn't change the fact that some are getting it at LOW amounts and others are not getting it at all. Sure, there is some element of randomness, but by this point in the game everyone should have gotten something. Even one.

I took the smart choice and sold out. The gentleman who bought my coins made me about recoup what I would have got mining a coin that works. I wish you all luck.

ok so i was an early miner of blackcoin, i had about 250,000 at one point. once pos kicked in, i was getting like 1000 coins per day, or something rediculously low. i said fuck that, something is broken and sold out at 2000 satoshi, and we all know what happened their.
people do not realize, POS is not the same as mining, and is why this coin is MUCH rarer than people REALIZE at the moment. i have 3 million SHA in my wallet, at this moment, and am getting about 70 POFMINED every 30 minutes or so at the moment. i dont think its broken, i just think its how it works, and people think POS is going to like double their coin stack in a month, but thats not how it works.
why do you think blackcoin price has been so resilient lately, theirs not that many coins being generated everyday, like alot of pow coins, when they become profitable, all miners switch, and DUMP

Guessing that the pool didn't update ? Have 18767 now and my own client is almost in sync with the addnodes.

that is my guess, their are probably a few pools in need of updating to the new source code, and i hope the exchanges are on it Smiley
i think if you are mining it is 1SHACOIN per block? but not worth the waste of power
as i say, this coin has become very hard to acquire big amounts now

The exchanges really can't turn this back on until everyone is up to sync and on the same block count.

You know there is still a giant elephant in the room about how one person had more or was able to deposit/sell more than should of actually been in existence.

Are we forked, are we not forked?  etc.  commenting a line of code for staking isn't going to fix the other weird issues we are having Smiley

i am dling client on a new comp, and will send some coins over to my new address and let you know if network is working, but my client is in sync here and stakeing away without problem. i think all that exchange selling, like i said earlier, was from a big miner. i had 2th/s on this for a little while, and got 3 mil, someone in my pool had 15th/s on this for at least 3 days, they could have easily accumulated those 30 million that were sold on the exchange.

Just hit 18773 on all my nodes, so this would seem to be the 'main' PoS chain. Going to try staking.

... and staking. Height 18779 and I 'think' we are good.

FYI I started staking on the 26th and had probably 50 stake transactions and all of them orphaned. Every transaction from every other day is fine, and not one transaction on the 26th is.
