whose selling all those cheap sha in those excahnge is kinda silly as they are rare now Smiley

dumpers got stopped in their dump due to the temporary wallet issues. they'll finish their dump and then SHA will find it's true value  Cool

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

If you instal the 1st version of the wallet it has alot of issue. So you need to clear everything except the wallet.dat. I think the 2nd wallet have a little bug as well but it will run smoothly after a few tries.

1. go to start menu and type %appdata% and hit enter
2. search for SHaCoin File
3. Open it and Wipe everything except your wallet.dat
4. add sha.conf file together with the wallet.dat in the same Sha Coin Folder

Code:
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
maxconnections=100
rpcuser=yourusername
rpcpassword=yourpassword
addnode=142.54.179.178
addnode=23.88.228.99
addnode=198.98.120.30

5. download and extract the latest wallet  (link for wallet>>)
Code:
https://mega.co.nz/#!WJgRAa4a!NJ72pYpOIRp554Almmao0DVjlqWCHou_illuQwYSDrc

4. Run your Shacoin-qt.exe wallet

5. encrypt your wallet ( choose a strong password )

6. let it sync to the latest block according to here.
Code:
http://explorer.shacoin.co/

Note 1: If lets say your wallet is some how stuck and cant sync .Close your wallet wait for a few minutes and open it again. Let it run for a few minutes. I think it will sync soon enough.

Same issue still persist

Note 2 : run repairwallet in the console , just to be sure
If it said
Code:
"wallet check passed" : true
then its fine

Repeat Note 1 & 2 until it get sync.

7. Once it is sync unlock your wallet
Click on Help , Debug Window , go to Console and type in
Code:
walletpassphrase yourencryptedpassword 9999999 true

The phrase " minting suspended due to locked wallet " will dissapear in a few minutes and your wallet is now minting

8. Sit back and relax. Your wallet is now minting

Disclaimer : The Coins will not straight away appear in the stake. Some say it will only appear in 2 days , some say 4 days , Some even says they never get stake at all. so it is totally random.

Any Tips are welcome : SeB73Dx8tfX1FUnc3oz5Dqia14dtxQdANe

I updated the wallet and started minting yesterday.  It looked like everything was working at first, I had about 10 or 12 coinstake transactions after a few hours, but today they are all orphaned, and were all re-submitted to the blockchain.  It appears that this keeps happening in a loop.  Each time the amounts are marginally higher, presumably due to coindays increasing with time, but I can't seem to get more than 10 or 15 confirms before the blocks orphan and the cycle repeats itself.  I was perpetually 10 or 12 blocks behind after blowing away the database and resynching from scratch, but am now 1650+ blocks behind.  Even before I started minting it never quite caught up completely.  I didn't update the .conf file (I don't have one), so it's using whatever is hard-coded into the binary.

Most of my coins are currently listed as staked.  I haven't read through the entire thread from the last couple days but this seems like a problem others are not reporting, exactly.  This coin certainly still has some issues, it would appear, even if it is working okay for some.  What should I do?  Blow away the DB/blockchain and let it resynch again?  Is it okay to do this while all of my coins are listed as staked?

So if there is no fork like the developer says then why do we have coins stuck in limbo all over the place?

I have a withdraw that was submitted on the 26th, so the wallet was off at the time, this withdraw then confirmed up to at least 3 confirmations which is what i check for on SHA withdrawals before saying they were completed successfully.  However, now that same transaction has 0 confirmations, viewable from block explorer and bittrex has it in their wallet as well since it was sent to them.

so...developer.... please get us some firm answers on all of these issues.  Getting tired of a few lines and no posts directing users how to fix their issues.

Which makes me wonder... PoS is a more energy efficient method of producing a crytocurrency, and for that reason, far more sustainable.
I like this. And even tho I on;y have a meagre 55GH which I am able to mine it (the rest of my rig is getwork and I find it is a tad temperamental in mining alt coins) - I should keep mining this until block 14400, at which point, the coins I hold will sustain the network without the need to mine it? please correct me if this is wrong?

correct. but mining is not possible any more. we are at over 21000 block now.

you can still buy SHA.

I think the problem is the server mode... its like solo mining... if you dont run the wallet in server mode its not mining...
I tried everything else.. but when i run it in server mode its the first time it verifies the minted blocks.. and stays connected more than a minute...

it would seem I have a parrot.  Roll Eyes if you gonna use my words at least [ quote ] me

i've been reading the wiki, but it's waaaaay over my head lol
I shall hereby be renamed Raskul the Noob.

and thanks for clarifying. So... the stake part of my wallet, will it show the percentage of coins I hold compared to the total network, or  does it just work out the 'stake / interest' to be paid on my held coins?

ADD: i find this fascinating.

I don't know the specifics for SHACoin, but for other PoS coins like PPC (hybrid) or NXT (pure PoS), your stake is indeed the amount of coins held in your wallet vs all coins on the network. Generally, there is a minimum age requirement for the coins serving as PoS.

I can't tell how the client will report it, but I suppose you could easily figure out your stake by dividing your share of coins by the total number of generated coins (something that can already be reported in real time using the 'getinfo' command for example).

The process of generating blocks via PoS, vs PoW, is called minting (at least in Peercoin and NXT terms), vs mining (SHA256, scrypt...)

Which makes me wonder... PoS is a more energy efficient method of producing a crytocurrency, and for that reason, far more sustainable.
