I've been trying to look that Anonymous chat that i have seen on this board but until now i cant find it yet i have forgotten the url.

When you try to access it shows only a messenger with having random names and chats can be deleted out and you can share up the chats link
so that other users can hop in on your channel.(Hoping that im posting on the right board).

A search of Beginners & Help does not give any results, so this thread is moved or deleted. But it's not hard to find such apps, the question is just how real anonymous they are. On the following link you can find top 10 anonymous chat apps (by the author's choice), for Android and iOS. I hope one of them will meet your needs Wink

10 Anonymous Chat Apps

I don't think OP is necessarily looking to talk to random strangers online, or pedo's (that link has omegle on #1.)
Also, did you just virus scan a link Tongue

@stomachgrowls, are you looking for this; https://tlk.io/ ?

You only need a name for that, and can make a room in a single click, no registration needed whatsoever.
I'm pretty sure it's anonymous P2P, but the owner of said site probably stores your IP and fingerprints your browser, so it might be smart to use a VPN if you're concerned about that.

There are a lot of those anonymous chat rooms. But usually, if you can exchange images and documents, they are not so safe. I would prefer using Signal, keybase or even irc than using those rooms.
But if you feel safe to use them, I could suggest :

https://niltalk.com
https://crypto.cat/

https://ephemeral.pw/chat/

+1 for using IRC chat rather than any others.

I would also suggest
Code:
https://privnote.com
- this isn't similar to a chat but is one of the few ways to exchange messages 100% anonymously.
You just write a message, encrypt it and get a link that can be shared. Once the link has been opened, the message "destroys" itself and the link gets invalid.

This is just one of the ten proposed apps, but I guess you did not even look at the others. The key thing is that the OP ask for anonymous chat, he has not specified if he need to talk to random strangers or he need it for some other purpose.

Yes I scan the link, what's funny in it? Do you know that a good number of forum users avoid to clicking on the links fearing that there is something malicious in linked site?

That's what they promise.

But in the end it is a centralized service hosted on a centralized server.
You are not encrypting anything with your / the recipients key.

This is neither safe / secure nor anonymous at all. They get access to your IP, browser, OS, screen resolution, etc..
Just because they SAY that they don't keep the data, you can never be sure.

You have to TRUST the people behind privnote.com to exactly do as they say.

If you TRULY wan't to securely communicate (encrypted), use signal. This is the de facto standard in encrypted and secure communication.
It is open source and has been audited by many security firms and private cyber security researcher.

If you additionally want to hide *any* kind of metadata (which is not as easy as it might sound), you NEED to route your whole traffic trough the tor network (which - by itself - is not enough to be completely anonymous).

Are you talking about Adamant messenger? Which is one anonymous chat that I found when searching in the whole forum?
it is a coin but it has a messenger app where you can chat anonymously and this coin is gaining value after 30 days increased 140% in value.

If I'm right I didn't find them in this section but you can found their thread from here ADAMANT Messenger — ETH/BTC/etc. in-chat payments, open source and secure

I would be careful using these so-called anonymous Chat Apps, if it is not Open-source code.  Roll Eyes  Some law enforcement agencies have very skilled developers that creates resources out there to collect data for them. <Honey traps>  They know these anonymous resources are a magnet for criminal activities, so they develop their own to attract these criminals. <They even have some Tor exit nodes>

Open-source resources can be checked to determine if there are any "honey traps" or monitoring/reports being done, so you might want to look for something that is not proprietary.  Wink

[...] <They even have some a lot of Tor exit nodes>

I fixed that for you..

No, honestly.. It is being estimated that more than 50% of tor exit nodes are owned by federal agencies.
Of course this is just an estimation because you will never know the real number. But i believe this is coming very close to the real number.

That's one reason why i always say that using tor is not enough to stay completely anonymous on the internet. It is a good beginning, but definitely not enough if your life is depending on anonymity or someone technically very skilled is hunting you.

That would be 1/100 chance of percent to happen. I get your point that the government are spending and looking for a way to identify groups or created a group for them t sneak around those users that are into illegal transactions and are connected to syndicates.

But, if I were the government I would not do it since it is just a waste of time.and money. There are other ways to do it and are not that costly and does not need any professional service related to computer and hacking.

However it is better to be careful than being dumb.

*cough* NSA *cough*

Government simply can make laws which force company to give government access to user's data, just like what NSA do.
Their real problem is P2P/fully-encrypted chat app/social media which isn't easily cracked, unless it uses cryptography encryption which have backdoor they know.
Best example is "Bitlocker" which is default encryption mechanism in Windows. Microsoft can unlock this encryption without knowledge about your password Tongue because if NSA will ask them for your encrypted data, microsoft will give it to them.
This is big risk, because you never know for sure which company is infiltrated already by intelligency agencies and which are not.

Correct.

And that's exactly one of the reasons why you should use open source encryption software.
You are guaranteed to see what is happening by looking at the source code.

If you don't know how to read the code - or don't want to - look for an application which has been reviewed by multiple security professionals and is widely used by a large user base (e.g. VeraCrypt).

It is worth to mention that NOTHING is 100% safe. Bugs / mistakes always happen. The question is just whether it can be exploited to gain sensitive information and how trivial it is to perform such an attack.
But with open source software you are 'guaranteed' to have less bugs / errors than in proprietary software (More people reviewing the code - and not just the developer who miss the forest for the trees).

When using a good VPN and connecting XMPP / Jabber with the OTR plugin through tor, that it should be a decently anonymous chat app
oh and to be extra safe communicate through pgp messages only (no web pgp)
