We have seen how some world class investors and economic pundits and some big banks have criticized the BITCOIN calling it a bubble without any underlying value but a merely speculation and a Pyramid Scheme. We all know they had to adopt this FUD strategy in order to protect their malicious empire and ensure their continues control over the people's sovereign wealth through policy manipulation, they see this new technology as a big threat to their bad practice. Instead of telling the people the truth, they praise the blockchain and publicly denounce the bitcoin.

What if men like Warren Buffet makes a U-turn and praises the bitcoin that he had not fully study it and understood it during the times he did criticized it? that during those years of his criticism, he had bought some bitcoin through a third party and kept same, just to be sure of the direction. What will his disciples that all believed him do when the bitcoin might have already hit $250,000 by year 2020. Oh boy, they just can't help but have themselves to blame, since he didn't tell them under duress never to buy the bitcoin. At the end when we listen to expert on every issue and they later turn out not to be 100% right, our simply take responsibility for allowing someone else think for us. Wisely choose your destiny.

You know what, I don't care whatever they said about bitcoin. They will join in bitcoin in the future after they know that bitcoin is a great way to solve their financial problem. I realize that today, they don't see the benefits of bitcoin, but someday, they will open their eyes and see that bitcoin can solve their problem. They are free to say anything about bitcoin, and we don't have to attract to give a counter and answering to them (or maybe we can explain to them). Like others have said, Warren Buffett can pound sand. He has never been a technologist or interested in innovation. Instead, he's a value investor. He also invests in mainstream financial institutions, so that puts him somewhat against bitcoin.

When there will be growth in BTC price every statement against it will be take U turn, so just ignore such statements. BTC is into existence since 2009 and it has seen many ups and downs of this market, its still surviving and being widely accepted. Fudders are there to create fuds we need not to give them must attention and move forward. I remember it when BTC was around $1k and people used to say that it is very costly at this moment let the prize of BTC come down then we will purchase it but it never came back to their desired level and touched $20k. I don't get this whole thing with Warren Buffet, people shouldn't be waiting on his 'god given' word of approval it's NEVER going to happen.

He said in an interview, for the MOST part he stays away from stuff like this in the tech sector, not because it's bad per se but because he doesn't understand it well enough and probably lacks interest enough in it to want to understand it well enough.

The guy has enough money, it's not like one day he's going to go, 'oh shoot I missed that Bitcoin train, I best put some money in crypto now to be safe.' No, it doesn't work like that and to think it does is to totally misunderstand how people with his type of wealth work.

Why do we all invest and hold Bitcoin, sure there's people out there doing it as a quick way to make some wonga but the majority of us are in it because we are PASSIONATE about the tech, the blockchain, how it can revolutionize the world's economy and the global banking system, how it can vastly improve so many different sectors and bring so much innovation. This is for the most part why most early adopters got in and why we're all around, then you have the sheep that follow.

The thing is Buffet is not a sheep, if you're waiting for the day that Bitcoin hits 1 MIL per coin and Buffet to go 'oh, I was wrong, that Bitcoin and Crypto, great investments, lap it all up while you can.'

That day is NEVER EVER going to come because he has nothing to apologise for and he wasn't wrong, he simply says that it doesn't fit into his investment portfolio, he ADMITS he lacks knowledge of the tech and investments in this tech sector so any bad comments (if there are any) that he's made have been made out of ignorance and a lack of knowledge.

I see comments about Crypto & Bitcoin and Buffet all the time, please stop, there's a lot of wealthy other investments who hold large chunks of Crypto that do understand the tech, you're looking at the wrong person to give approval or the nod of the head. It rattles me....

For every investment one has to make, they need to really dig deeper and gather factual information before spending any money for any ventures that they see promising. This holds true not only to cryptocurrencies but also to traditional assets as well. If no research has been done, no risks were assessed and nothing is correctly planned, it's basically just throwing money off of the window or giving it to someone else. There are even these jokes that scientists are not very good with predictions but economists are especially bad at it 
However, predictions are not always terrible. For example, once I thought that back when the previous longest bearish period was on, people must have been saying that that's the end of Bitcoin and stuff. When I actually sorted Google search by years, those predictions turned out to be pretty bullish, even though it's been a year if not more until Bitcoin actually started rising. And people were right back then. Or those who were wrong are just out of history now.
I agree with the OP, though, that relying on experts is trying to find someone else responsible for your actions, and that's not a good thing to do.
