What are the key advantages of Lucent? Lucent is a cutting edge cryptocurrency, with key features that are not available in many other cryptocurrencies. Lucent is a hybrid with darksend technology and limitless masternodes. Is there a public repository of code relating to the Lucent Blockchain? Yes! We have several projects in our public repo on github: https://github.com/LucentCoin/LucentCurrently, there is no active restriction by any government that will have an immediate effect on Lucent, especially due to the decentralized nature of the project. Additionally, Lucent is a coin which is integrated into the blockchain and developed as an open source project. No singular group will be responsible for the use of the app, removing any previously applicable jurisdiction. What functionality is already implemented into Lucent? At launch, or shortly thereafter, Lucent coins and masternodes will be available for purchase. Lucent masternodes will be available for a collateral of 16,000 Lucent Coins. Lucent Coin also provides darksend technology that can be used on the tor network for greater privacy options. A masternode is very similar to a bitcoin miner, without the massive environmental costs associated with running physical miners. Instead of requiring computers to solve complex mathematical problems in order to participate in the mining rewards of blockchain technology, a "stake" of coins is put up as collateral for a server to be able to participate on the blockchain. This way, anyone can participate in mining by purchasing a masternode. By activating a masternode, the user is helping to strengthen and further decentralize the network. In exchange for running a masternode, the user is also part of a rewards system and will gain a percentage of the coins mined on their block. Lucent’s decentralized blockchain provides for a unanimity based advancement of current Masternode technology that is used to secure the network. Familiar frameworks will increase accessibility for developers with little or no blockchain experience. Using obfuscation, anonymous and private transactions can be securely made using coin mixing technology. Is there a Lucent wallet? Yes. We have C++ QT, Linux, and Mac wallets all released. You can check out the public repo for our any of our wallets on: https://github.com/LucentCoin/Lucent/releases When is Lucent going public? We already have. If you are reading this then you can now join the community on discord ( https://discord.gg/dbVuJEE) and follow our Twitter ( https://twitter.com/Lucent_Systems) for updates. We have released the wallets and are in the process of creating further framework for the community as we develop. What is Lucent Blockchain? The first developer of the coin “Radiant” left their community. One of the co-founders for Lucent was in the Radiant community when this happened. With the help of another Developer, and a friend, the idea of Lucent was formed. Our goal was to help the community try to recover loss and to keep faith in alternative cryptocurrency projects. Coinsmarkets, the exchange that had listed Radiant, then disappeared. This left all coin holders of Coinsmarkets and Radiant, empty handed and in an unfair position. As we furthered progress of our first Lucent wallet, our developer had never built a wallet or blockchain. Everyone was strapped for time and funding. With some problems in the wallet keeping us from launching, the developer left. When the developer left, a large part of the community left. After finding another developer and a complete rebrand of Lucent, we are confident of the release and future success of Lucent. As a result of the rebrand and release of Lucent, the remaining core team members, new developer, consultants, and organizations, we are excited to finish the Lucent core promises. What is Darksend Technology? Darksend gives you true financial privacy by obscuring the origins of your funds. All the Lucent in your wallet is comprised of different "inputs" which you can think of as separate, discrete (and discreet), coins. Darksend uses an innovative process to mix your coins with the inputs of two other people, without having your coins ever leave your wallet. You retain complete control of your money at all times. What are the future plans for Lucent? Our future plans will be better explained with the release of our new roadmap, which is scheduled for May 2019. It will include our plans to establish ourselves as a true cryptocurrency which maintains the privacy of its holders, to be used in everyday transactions. We are working diligently to create the type of commerce that Satoshi would use daily. BTC is a store of value, while Lucent strives to be an everyday use currency. Our chain will be secured from the masternodes, which will then classify Lucent as a true Hybrid. Final Thoughts: We recommend you take a look at this alternative cryptocurrency project, with which many of the great people from the original community are still here and part of Lucent today. We will continue to work hard, make progress, and collaborate with brilliant minds for future growth and longevity. Join us!Website: https://lucentgold.com/Discord - https://discord.gg/dbVuJEETwitter: https://twitter.com/Lucent_SystemsGet Lucent! Github: https://github.com/LucentCoin/Lucent/releases

Can anybody here see the advantage of using this coin? I don't think there is an edge for this coin in the masternode market. But if you can get your buyers, please live longer than most of the masternode projects.

Hello all! I'm honored to be a part of the Lucent Core Development Team as the Lead Tech! So far, I've contributed via assisting members of the Lucent community, fixing documents, developing a Debian installation guide and script, and soon-to-be the official whitepaper for Lucent! Anyways, if you wish to contribute, remember to take a look at https://github.com/LucentCoin/Lucent for any issues, pull requests, or releases. Additionally, I've created my own repository to store the "Easy Install" scripts that include the implementation of Masternodes and Lucent Core at https://github.com/AlphaSerpentis/Lucent-Core-Easy-Install. So here's what is on the agenda so far: 1. Fix the difficulty issue on the Lucent network 2. Write the whitepaper and receive approval by both the community and other core developers 3. Create more "Easy Install" scripts 4. List on CoinGecko/CoinStats! If you wish to contact me, join the Official Lucent Community Discord! or DM me via AlphaSerpentis#3203.

Good day to all! I'd like to inform all users of Lucent that we are collecting a consensus if we should switch to the "DGW" algorithm for the difficulty readjustment. This is important because it'll determine if Lucent Core will update to v0.13.0.0 as a result. Please vote here now!

We've officially released Lucent Core v0.13.0.0! The following change(s) have been made: - Updated versioning
- Updated difficulty readjustment algorithm to DarkGravityWave (DGW) which is backward compatible to sync with old blocks.
Masternode operators, pool operators, exchanges, and users should all update as soon as possible! Backup your keys before updating! https://github.com/LucentCoin/Lucent/releases/tag/v0.13.0.0

It's been a while since I've posted on here, so here's the rundown in the period since I've last posted: - The deployment of v0.13.x.x was a stunning success with most of the masternodes, mining pools, and exchanges updated! So far from what we can all observe, DGW has reduced the time to readjust the difficulty of the network while maintaining the target block time, which as a result, will help us alleviate any sudden surges in network hash.
- We got listed on another exchange at AltMarkets with a trading pair of LCNT/BTC
- Development transparency:
- So, as you may (or may not) already know, I'm working on the implementation and idea of a Lucent Smart/Conditional Contract, unique to the Lucent network by building it entirely from scratch.
With the DGW Upgrade (v0.13), which by the way if you haven't updated already, you totally should otherwise you're gonna be on the wrong side, brings a faster difficulty readjustment to handle the current hash rate miners provide us and to prevent an expensive pump and dump of difficulty like we experienced last November/December.
The DGW Upgrade honestly is weird since we changed a static variable that relies on the block height, and was only theoretically tested to compile, run and accept old blocks.
With future updates, I want to make it clear that this type of deployment is just possibly slow, out of the convention and possibly dangerous if not used with discretion.
So before anything goes through, the new testing methodology works as follows:
1.) Theoretically trace the way the new code affects the network, and use integrated deployment types like BIP9 deployments. 2.) Compile and deploy on regression and or testnet to connect to 3.) Receive a code audit prior to deploying to the official repository.
If there are any other questions, feel free to ask in here, or communicate with the community and developers at the official Discord Server.- Amethyst C. aka AlphaSerpentis (Lead Tech @ Lucent Core)

It's not dead, just hibernating. The current world climate is making it very difficult for conversation between team members.
