Pretty sure everything else has already been said about him so I'll skip that part of my post and simply add my name to the long list of supporters.

I am curious to know how many people bothered reading any of the cited posts before vouching for him.

Also if people wouldn't really look to the posts provided... Then I think they just trust my judgement of sending merit knowing they are not wasted, of-course there is always a post better as another.... but this doesn't mean that the other post doesn't deserve any merit.

I have known this member for a few months on the collectables board section and have only observed good sound judgment when it comes to his posts.

I have nothing but good things to say. I also note he is the 5th most Merited member in this forum! That in itself speaks volumes too.

I support making Mr. MicGoosens a source. The man took time from expensive dining and traveling to work at McDonalds for 14.99 per hour just to accumulate more coins during the bear market so we wouldnt crash below 3100.   He flipped burgers for our sins. When he isnt at Mcdonalds he is always a wonderful contributor to the forum and very friendly to everyone. He is a true Bitcoin hero and deserves it.

mic, dispute the short time he has been here, has  been one of the most active, cheerful, and involved persons ive seen. just the amount of merits he has received in such a short time says a lot just by itself as to how respected he is.

he encourages others to participate, run free games with not unsubstantial btc prizes (and faithfully pays them out), and is always willing to learn new things. he has been striving to improve his writing and english skills (with help from other members here), as it is not his native language and has made great progress on that front.

in short, he is very dedicated to this forum and BTC.

and he is very free with giving out merits, in fact he is usually out of them. basically he uses merits the way they were meant to be used.. get them out into circulation.

he has my vote.

Weirdly there aren't enough merit sources in the Wall Observer thread.
All sorts of old timers pop by and contribute - they need recognition and to rank up.
Newbies too try their luck in the big leagues; some are worthy.
Mike is quite capable of meriting their and the regulars' posts fairly and sensibly.
He even navigates the local boards and some others, and is i.m.o. unlikely to abuse his souce-hood.
Let's give him a go.

When do theymos decide to decay the smerits being hoarding. There are many users here been doing that especially some of them know that smerits could also be sold in a high price due to its demand on some members that would like to rank up. This the reason it has only few merits generated in the forum and other than that the circulation of merits were mor likely to be found in this section and not the SMT where one can find a thousands of posta everyday to which some.of them are literally good and constructive.

The good post that are found in bitcoin discussion should have given the chance to reward a merit for this section is the best section in learning the basics about bitcoin. This is base on my experience as man of the users discussing about bitcoin, I learn it gradually. Some of the high ranks here stated that they ignore those sections (SMT) because they do not like to see a lot of shit posts there. We do not have any choice by that because we know that users are not native English speakers so we can expect shit posts.

However, if one truly visita that section and seeing some users get rewarded by merits then there is a high chance that it could morivate other by doing the same so that they can have the chance to get merits.

I personally do always posts in SMT so that is why I am hoping that smerits should be decay or it should be circulated in other sections of the forum. Well, that only depend on how admin will run the forum. Either way, I am still happy to be here even if it is not meant for me to rank up into next rank.

I too would like Mic to become a merit source.
There are way too few sources and it seems like everybody is constantly out of Smerits.
Mic is a lovable and responsible guy and would I trust him to be a merit source with all my heart.

I believe micgoossens would make a great merit source.  They seem to be very active and aware.  My experiences have come from the collectibles section where micgoossens has shown good judgement and has become a trusted trader.

I couldn't think of a better person to be appointed as a merit source than Mic. The amount of effort, energy, positivity/good vibes, willing to learn and teach,  and even generosity "the dude" has put into Bitcoin/Bitcointalk and its community since he joined not so long time ago is simply amazing.

I could enumerate a really long list of pros for making Mic a merit source (which btw, I don't think it is any sort of "gift" but much on the contrary a responsibility and usually unappreciated effort he would gladly and perfectly carry out)  but it would be so long that I will just, as MANY others have done before, clearly state my 100% vouch for him as a merit source. It will surely be good for the community.

We need more Mics. Really. But even if we only have one, we have a treasure... so let just take care of him, make him a merit source and... TO THE MOON, guys!
