Maybe if USD has completely been devalued, it can happen. But i think he is just trying to hype ETH. It is not possible and we all know that there is no limit for the number of ETH being mined.

yup, ethereum is indeed no limit to the amount mined so that it is still an ambiguous thought. Maybe ethereum will survive because of the ICO or crowdfunding who still maintain the ethereum platform as their fundraising |

What crisis? BSV? I'd hardly call that a crisis. It's actually a cofounder of Ethereum who is making this claim, and while we may disagree with him, he's anything but a joke. Just as there are bitcoin maximalists, there are Ethereum maximalists - it seems Lubin fits into the latter camp. There are quite a number of Ethereum maximalists in the community. |

Anything is possible, but I doubt Ethereum can get that high. It has historical issues and good competition. Clearly his optimism is based on Bitcoin bullish sentiment, but I'd read his statement more like "I am confident in Ethereum and you should be too". And his confidence is biased. |

Well that is his view, lets see what happens. Personally I think the price might increase but not that level but lets just give him the benefit of the doubt. If it get who won't be happy but I see it to be more of a dream.

I think it is indeed over optimistic. Though it still possible, but when it is happened, bitcoin and other altcoins price should be risen as well like the last bull run. |

I prefer Bitcoin as a good investment because it is clearer about its superiority and everything can happen in understanding Bitcoin when the market is in better condition. |

No matter what happens to eth, I will hold some of it. Basically I only mined some eths and sold it when it was around 1k USD and now I stop mining due to electricity bills. But I kept my eth so if the price jumps to that speculated price then that would too awesome for us. |

Being a co-founder, I expect him to be optimistic about the future prospects of Ethereum. But to be realistic, I don't agree with him when he says that ETH can reach a market cap of $17.5 trillion. The technology behind ETH is a bit outdated, I'd say.

Perhaps they have a trump card up their sleeve. Lubin also noted that they have big development plans. In addition, he may have slightly raised  the price in the forecast. This is often the case with crypto predictions. And also bias. |

I believe in ethereum, but that is of course, way too optimistic.
Analysts in the crypto world act as if their are no limits on value.
They, however, disregard crypto's relation to other markets and the overall global economy.
No market is in its own category, our world has become a place where everything is interconnected.
This makes it impossible for any one thing to have unlimited potential.
But with that being said, I believe eth to be the amazon of the dot.com bubble.
It will survive and thrive, and dominate other similar platforms.
It just has so many economic advantages now that can't be beat.
Thing slike market penetration and main stream brand awareness that other platforms aren't even close to getting.

It means that the total market capitalization of ETH will be 150 trillion Dollar, bigger than the Forex market, I think that's impossible. The target of the old peak of $ 1k4 seems more feasible, and more optimistic, is 2k ~ 3k .

he is the cofounder of eth and it is more than normal, that he believes in his own coin. i think a bigger price than now is possible, but a 1000x gain is really big and i would not rely on it. just because eth does not have a hard cap, i am skeptical of the idea that the price will eventually be $150,000.
