Yeah loan has both upside and downside, if you have a loan and have all the prerequisite to pay back yet invest in bitcoin with a long term vision then you can actually make good use of those loan and it would not be a bad one, I used to see loan as something bad until someone enlightened me how to use loan now can consider loan as long as it have to be used to buy someone I can use as a liquidity to get another investment through it.

If you are investing in Bitcoin for long term then keep in mind that price of Bitcoin may go below your purchasing price and your portfolio can remain in negative for months. In that case if you have added liability of loan then you might not be able to hold your bitcoins for long term because to repay your loan you will have to arrange money. One can take a loan, if he has a business plan in which there are maximum chances of loan repayment on time. Taking loan is like taking a risk and thats why its important to do proper risk planning in advance.

There are some Investment we can take loan even when we don't have a source to repay back but you have to really plan yourself well so that you don't default. I have seen people who took loan to start up an investment and business when they don't have a means of repayment and they actually meet up and pay off the loan but this is not encourage or applicable in Bitcoin investment because the market is very volatile.  But if there is a source of income taking loan won't be bad.

What you’re describing is gamble my friend and not investment, there are also several cases of people who had what they thought was a good business plan and took out loan with no repayment plan to start, who failed and paid dearly for it. Yes in life, you must risk something but don’t be careless and carefree. An investor would have to make a calculated risk and not a careless one.
Taking loans to invest in bitcoin with hope  that you’ll repay the loan with returns from your investment is one of the careless ones.
Any one depending on his Bitcoin investment to repay his loan is a gambler his is actually not investing but gambling, any one who is taking loan to invest in Bitcoin shouldn't depend on his investment for repayment reason been that Bitcoin is volatile and also a long time investment as the duration of the loan and how long you are supposed to hodl wouldn't be any thing near from when you are supposed to pay back your loan amount. Taking a loan to invest in Bitcoin is bad when the person plan to repay back with his investment.

Then the concept of buy the dip and HODL only makes sense if you have money to spend that you can afford to leave invested for several years. However, if you are borrowing money, it's a completely different story as the repayment plan of the lender does not care if Bitcoin is in a bull market or a deep correction. When the selling price dips, you might have to take a loss to pay back your loan. That's the reason I believe that investments in Bitcoin should be made from disposable money or savings, not debt. A loan comes with neither patience nor financial freedom neither of which is essential in HODLing. Don't take risks for potential profits, never.

Snip.

The "buy the dip and HODL" is to ignore volatility, for it to work, one must use discretionary funds and a long-term time horizon. If an investor uses cold money and plans their investment timing accordingly, a market correction effectively becomes a discount; however, without these two elements, a correction can turn into a disaster. Since 2011, this message has been consistently repeated on this forum: "Never invest more than you can afford to lose; don't borrow to buy Bitcoin." The aim is to ensure that new investors do not make a misstep.

Choosing not to take risks for the sake of potential gain does not make one a coward, rather, it is about preparing oneself so that the plan does not fall apart halfway through. A sound Bitcoin investment should utilize discretionary income, involve strategic timing, and be backed by knowledge. As for the risky investments you mentioned, they involve using borrowed money and FOMO. Novice investors must be able to distinguish between these to avoid getting trapped in difficult situations, such as being forced to cut losses to pay off debt.

I am not in any way support anyone to borrow money to invest, most especially in Bitcoin investment, repayment is always the issue and we all know that the best investment in Bitcoin is a long term investment, this last for a period of 4 to 10 years and if you borrow money to do this investment will the lender wait for this period, it is definitely not possible because the lender cannot exercise patient to this date, that is why it is very wrong to borrow money to invest in Bitcoin. Instead of having big ambition in investment, at least try and locate the discretionary income even though it's small, it is better to have small amounts than going to borrow huge amount of money and the owner will be after your life.

If anyone who actually wants to borrow money but knows how to pay back the loan in another means, which the person is sure that Bitcoin investment is not what will fetch him or her the money to pay back is allowed to borrow, because he knows where he can pay back the loan when it elases, so is allowed to borrow, but the only advice I will give to anyone who actually borrowed is to invest the money and not to risk it to trade because he will loss automatically because trading is 100 percent gambling which will all knows, but I will advise to invest it , which will take a long time.

It is definitely wrong to invest with debt, but for those people who do not take loans based on their financial situation or take loans without considering where they will repay the loan or take loans based on Bitcoin to repay the loan and invest with debt without any kind of emergency fund. A person who invests with debt without considering all these things has definitely become involved in gambling in the name of investment.

Yes, one can invest with debt, but first he has to consider some things like whether he has a complete emergency fund or other funds. Will there be any problem between their financial situation and continuous investment to repay the loan. If he can take a loan with low interest and the opportunity to repay the loan gradually through installments, then he can invest with debt
