My e-mail to Bitcointalk:  "The login Captcha won't show up, despite me enabling JS permissions for Bitcointalk, Google, and Gstatic.  I was hoping to update my sales listing with photos.  If for some reason this is a permanent issue, could a moderator help by posting the photos?"

Bitcointalk's reply:  "This is the hacked/lost accounts recovery email. Such requests should be made in the relevant Bitcointalk forum section."

So, I'm supposed to post to the forum, to inform them that I cannot log in... to post to the forum.  *facepalm*

Luckily, the problem turned out to be an issue with Firefox's privacy settings.

Bitcointalk per se doesn't have any tech supports or working email for such issues. Instead, we have the Meta section to discuss forum-related issues concerning functionality, technicalities, bugs, glitches etc. I have encountered that same problem you're having just a day ago and I suggest you bookmark this link in order to bypass captcha logins the next time around:

Thank God you have resolved the problem of logging in, some time our browsers have different setting that a users need to allow before third party service can be allowed. Bitcointalk have an eco friendly system that is easy to access on any browser.

Not everyone is rich enough to have a second computer available.  Also, perhaps you would care to explain how two computers in the same household, almost certainly running the same OS and browser settings, would have offered results different enough to circumvent the problem.  Oh, wait, that would require some actual thought, which, as the original posts points out, seems in short supply around here.

Yes, I opted to follow that route immediately after I regained access.  Thank you for the suggestion, though.

Bitcointalk itself is not the problem, merely the convoluted back and forth with Google's captcha.  Apparently Firefox's strictest setting in regard to trackers is what was inhibiting it.  Rightly so, though, I'd say.

Sorry to hear that the fact that you are posting means you are actually frustrated with this thing well you know thanks for mentioning that it's really something that I was thinking about since a long time, the forum's tech support is something that I like defining as *post in the help and beginners section and people actually who are like the old ones will help you *
We actually need good tech support and also, at the same time upgradations and more security in this forum , it's easy to hack (super easy) it's simple and at the same time it hosts so many people, just remember this wait like we are doing and always keep a backup id , I don't have one 😂 IDK why tho, all the people I know who are on this forum since ages have multiple IDs , one main and others for worst case scenario.
Even if you don't have backup just come back on the forum make a new Id and make sure to take some SC of your old posts , when you joined and all this way you can contact anyone and claim your account.

Browsers seem to differ in some of their interactions with service providers. Because I use a mix of public and private connections, I have started to learn the characteristics of these. I use the following.

Chrome
Firefox
Firefox with privacy
Brave
The Brave Tor window.

Brave doesn't always register with a WiFi provider, so sometimes I start with Chrome of Firefox to establish the initial connection. If Bitcoin Talk is the first connection, then it can cause a security problem. I find that a basic site such as xe.com gets me started, and it tells me the current price of Bitcoin. Once the connection has settled  down, I can switch to the other sites I want to access. I'm coming to the conclusion that some of the ISPs have very unskilled staff. For example The Morrisons supermarket provider has banned the Morrisons splash page as having unsuitable content.

Troubleshooting issues a random person has because they've decided to meddle with something they don't understand in Firefoxs privacy settings isn't something I'd care to fix myself... You could try it on a different browser on the same computer or on a smartphone or something. My computers all have different operating systems as their main os also, I don't see how installing the same thing on every computer does anything productive for increasing security (because it doesn't).

Further, you have to take into account that there are a lot of web browsers about (I'm glad you picked the best though).

What was the error and the fix you used, perhaps you could reproduce it here or on a new thread about it with screen shots to help any other new user that can't log in.
