Big players like Facebook, JP Morgan, Telegram entering into blockchain industry with their own cryptocurrency token is good news for the cryptoworld because this will pave road for mass adoption of cryptocurrency. If they succeed more top players like Amazon, google etc will enter & a lot of new money will flow in the cryptocurrency market.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Well, with all these big companies getting involved in cryptocurrency means that they are going to help the crypto community grow, but don't think that these people are doing it for the crypto community, no they are not, cause they are doing it for themselves. No one is ever going to invest their time in a place where they are not making profit (okay there are people who do selfless jobs. But not all these big companies, they all seek their own personal gains). They are only going to promote their own coins and get people to make use of it and attract investors to their platform so that they can grow and make lots of money. They are just in competition with each other and we are just like the pawns.
