Well, you should not be so hard on him, I wouldn’t blame him too for saying so, you really need to see the damage ICO scammer has really done to some of our cryptocurrency investors, they have so much lost trust in most ICO now that when they see one, it looks shitty to them immediately.
This is one of the reasons why you see bitcoin and other top 20 coins now mooning as most investors focus more on investing in already existing projects than the new ones, but instead of openly condemning any new project, we could either overlook it or just simply do more research to confirm how genuine they are.
