Make a post in this thread with the name of the user who you think is your BFF and I will mathematically show how wrong you are.

To prevent LoyceV from cheating I will not disclose my super-secret Friendship Assessment and Investigation Logic until I get a few lab rats in this experiment.

I'm counting how many times you quoted someone. Only valid (properly closed, pointing to a Bitcointalk post) quotes are counted, and only the first level (if you quote Alice and she quotes Bob - Bob's not your friend). Quotes of deleted posts get counted too but name changes don't, so if you're friends with TradeFortress - no one will ever know.

The person you quoted the most is obviously your best friend as I can't think of any other reason why you would insist on talking to someone so much .

Amendment: when a post is split-quoted it will count only once.

Friends somehow need to have a proper communication (replying to one another) so maybe instead of number of quotes identifying your bestfriend he/she must be determined on the highest quote-to-reply back ratios in order to know if he is really your bestfriend.

Unfortunately it gets very very complicated to count when anyone else might have quoted you - 50 million posts, give or take a few million deleted ones - so the best we can do is compare your list to the lists of your top quotees (yep, made up a new word) if they request them and draw conclusions from that.
