No best year in crypto currency

When the first BTC was created, it was a good year to buy more, when in 2017, BTC reached $ 20,000.  and it's a good year to make a profit.

You know, during last bull run I lost money, because I short ethereum, it was contr trend position, so I lost money and it seems weird, because people are glad seeing bull run, they are gaining money and here is opposite for me
