I'm investing in ETH and BTC, both will increase then I would be happy.
However the question is so ambitious, ETH to take the no. 1 spot in the market will give a boom to the ICO project that has not increase lately.
I say it's possible but it's less likely to happen, I believe BTC will remain strong and will not give up the top spot.
In fact, ETH still depends on lots of Bitcoin and many other reasons why ETH will never be able to achieve the number 1 position in this market. I often monitor the value of both of these coins because it is very volatile and concludes that ETH is really not as good as it used to be and could collapse at any time. At this time, the BTC has no competitors but in the future there will be another coin that will compete for 1st place of Bitcoin and will change this whole market in the future. |

The ETH has a direct dependence on the price from Bitcoin and in I do not see how they can become number 1 at the current level of their technology. They are losing popularity quite fast.

ethereum will take years to reach the top and defeat bitcoin or even can't be the same because indeed bitcoin is the mother of all altcoins and tokens, etehreum and others are trying to get past bitcoin but it is not as easy as we imagine. by creating a network of ERC20 ethereum still not able to surpass bitcoin because the erc20 is still not perfect and they need to perfect it

IMHO now not a very big quantity of really good ICO's on the eth blockchain, but there are a lot of old ICO's that now on their own blockchain and selling eth to cover current expenses. Without new wave of ICO on their blockchain they are doomed. Plus an unlimited supply of ETH looks very promising for the long term holders. |

When Earth will collide with Mars. This will be the time when Ethereum will exceed Bitcoin in the top stop in the market.
To be honest, I don't think there is a chance for Ethereum to exceed Bitcoin. We know that Ethereum's supply is unlimited unlike Bitcoin who has a limited supply. This affects the price of the 2 coins. I think instead of comparing both of them, why just invest on the 2 and hold.

Because of the ICO scam, usage also decreasing. Moreover, as I mentioned, there supply is infinite which will cost a huge deflation in the near future I think. However, as of now, Eth still is a good investment for long term. |

Each of the mentioned coins has its advantages. The main advantage of bitcoin is that everyone knows about it. This provided this coin with the highest turnover and trading volume.
Will ethereum circulation increase to create enough demand to exceed BTC? In a competitive environment, this is not an easy task. But we know that everything is possible in the crypto market.

Sorry I also took part in this discussion because there are lots of threads like this everywhere, maybe he is quite new here, so he can understand how far he is, I don't think it will be good for ETH because they depend very much on Bitcoin. can realize it all, we just wait because the time is still long to ripen every process that was built.

It did not happen at the height of ETH, ICO and smart contracts, I doubt it will happen in the near future. ETH has its uses and it is good in its own way. But it will never overcome bitcoin.

The boss of this thread is just trying to play with us, and if it’s not a play, I am sure he is probably mixingthings up, because every single crypto holder knows the stand of Bitcoin in the market any day and anytime. The birth of Binance chain is enough headaches for Ethereum to deal with, so BTC is not their threat right now, they should be more concerned about what will be removing them from their second position very soon. A lot of people are already testifying to the awesome work of Binance chain and how it is more effective than ETH, if Binance can easily displace Eth, then how on earth do they intend to meet up with BTC? |

i don't see eth will dethrone BTC in the future. its the rarity of BTC that it will survive til it gets bigger than we can think of. ETH may even be possible to be outranked by EOS or Tron but not BTC. we are all seeing the king to stay on top even in the prolonged bear market. the longer is stays on top, the more it proves to be a safer investment, whales and merchants knew this already unlike with ETH which some doesn't even knew. |

Bitcoin is already an antique,useless
Eth as long as the solution to inflation and additional issuance
I do not think that you will find a lot of the guys, who will support you. Ethereum is the best altcoin, but it cannot still compete with Bitcoin. |

I do not believe it is likely that ETH will exceed bitcoin ever in future. On the contrary, it may be hard for Ethereum to stay at its second ranking in the future due to competition.
