Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I think it is great.  It will add validity to Bitcoin and the foundation.  Much better choices than Mark Karpeles no?  Wink

Bitcoin Foundation Bolsters Its Ranks

http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2014/03/11/bitcoin-foundation-bolsters-its-ranks

"Correction: March 12, 2014

An earlier version of this article misstated the role of Amy Weiss at the Bitcoin Foundation. She was brought on as an outside consultant, and not as a staff member. The error was repeated in the capsule summary."
