Disclaimer: This list is for my personal use only and not intended as investment suggestion. Do your own exhaustive research. By reading this post you accept to take your full responsibility for any decision you can make.

I'd like to create a list of truly decentralized altcoins.

My criteria are:
- open source code
- no ICO
- no presale
- no premine since the beginning
- no instamine
- no orphaned blocks for everyone during the launch
- no source files published after launch
- no initial low difficulty
- not a token
- decentralized organizational structure
- no "owner" or individual/group/company holding the majority of the stock
- has a not moderated announcement on the platform not controlled by the coin owners/community/devs
- no unknown platforms announcement
- no roll-backs or patches to recover coins,
- no connection issues soon after launch
- no last minute ANN
- announcement published in English
- no founder's rewards
- no dev fees
- no automatic allocation of funds by the code to dev team, yes to the community decided distribution of funds
- traded on a trustless crosschain exchange

Please mention a currency that in your opinion fits into above criteria.
If you don't agree with criteria we can discuss them here as well and your opinion is welcome.

The result of this research:
- seems like at the moment there is no currency fitting into above criteria. Once BarterDex will release their v2 DEX we'll have new candidates to evaluate.

Here is the list of the coins that are compliant to all the above criteria except the last one:

1) Coins with the 24H volume over 1 BTC
- Monero (traded on Bisq)
- Vertcoin* (tradable on BlockDx, will be potentially tradable on BarterDex v.2)
- Ravencoin (tradable on BlockDx, traded on Crypto-bridge)
- Dogecoin (tradable on BlockDx, traded on Crypto-bridge)
- Namecoin (tradable on BlockDx)
- Grin (tradable on Bisq)
- Aeon (potentially tradable on Bisq)
- Burst (they are working on their own Dex)
- Blackcoin (was potentially tradadble on the v.1 of Barterdex)
- Peercoin
- Primecoin

2) Coins with the 24H volume between 1 and 0.5 BTC
(work in progress)

Small coins suggested by the participants of this discussion that fit into our criteria:
- Datacoin (was tradable on BarterDx v.1)
- B3Coin (they are working on their own Dex)
- Slimcoin
- Pandacoin

______________
* Vertcoin has 150 coins of test premine pre-announced since the beginning
Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I'd like to create a list of truly decentralized currencies for myself and for any one who'd be interested in.

My criteria are:
- open source code
- no ICO
- no premine
- not a token
- decentralized development structure
- no "owner" or individual/group/company holding the majority of the stock
- traded at least on one true DEX (with some volume there)

Please mention a currency that in your opinion fits into the above criteria.
The criteria can be discussed here, so your opinion is welcome.

I myself did my homework so I have a list of the currencies that may fit into this criteria but I'd like the list to be created from scratch by the forum members.

Since you are the one that want to create a decentralized platform list, I don't see any reason why you will begin to ask us to tell you name of coins we think it's decentralized, how will you know when a coin is fully decentralized when you haven't studied it's code on github to see how it was developed, you can only create a list of truly decentralized blockchain only if you can be able to read the github code of all the blockchain project we have in existence.

The above criteria let us reduce the full 4K-5K list of existent coins into a very short one. At the moment I'm working on 180 coins  that can possibly enter into this elite group of fair coins.
And I suspect that among all that 180 coins I'll find no more than 20 that are within the above criteria.
To make analysis of the code of 20 coins is not that big deal, I guess.
But let me please understand better your idea, what would you exactly look for into the coins code?

If I'm correct GRIN is one of them. There was no ICO, premine in its. People started to mine from the very beginning. I can give you some more of this types once I check the CMC list. Maybe I will update once I get enough time.

No premine, Decentralized, not a token and build on its own blockchain, and it doesn't even have an owner.

(bitcoin is obvious so i won't mention it!) you forgot about litecoin if you are only talking about the top 100 big market cap coins. it had no premine and it is a stand alone blockchain with no ICO or any centralization.

i am very interested in seeing OP's list though. please make sure to share it with us.

Same here mate, I am too interested to see the whole list. I think it will be great for investors to choose some good altcoin for the bullrun.
I can't remember exactly but I will too contribute with OP.

I do not know if these cryptocurrencies meet all requirements but they are no pre-mined, no-ico, own blockchain:
VEIL, Synchrotroncoin, Grin.

Grin is on my list. I haven't studied it into depth at the moment, but I'll put it here as most probably it's inside of criteria.
What is the DEX with some volume where you can trade GRIN?

I don't really see a coin with no premine and with a DEX exchange. Some have a true DEX exchange like Komodo and Ethereum.
But they did have ICO and ETH has been premined. Some are forks of other coins, but they are not on decentralized exchange.
Some coins say that there is no premine, but in reality there is some premine as the devs are the first one to mine their coins.

From here LTC seem to have a semi-centralized organization structure : https://coinpaprika.com/coin/ltc-litecoin/

It's a very difficult task because you can't just go read the code and understand what everything is all about when you don't know what you are looking for, what you have to first do is to study the white paper of the project and then you can know what you are to look for in the code and check whether the code is really in line with the white paper or not, I believe that this is the only way it could be done, the question is if you are really to spend so much of your timing doing it and what do you stand to benefit.

I agree with you that the task is not easy. That's why I decided to make my personal research public. Many people may contribute quicker to this research as everybody is looking into his set of coins and he/she knows why they are following those particular coins so it's easier for them to speak about.

I think I have missed the bold part initially when I made comment, however, I am not sure if GRIN is having a good amount of volume in any DEX, I gotta check it.
I just checked it and fund nothing.

It seems like they are traded on Bisq, but I'm not seeing any volume there.
I'll keep Grin in the list and will be watching their volumes on Bisq.
