Mozilla (the people who make FireFox) did not renew one of their SSLs yesterday. This broke / forced disable almost all extensions.
A fix is in the works.

IF YOU ARE USING ANY EXTENSIONS FOR SECURITY OR SAVING PASSWORDS OR BLOCKING MALWARE SITES.
PLEASE BE EXTRA EXTRA CAREFUL.
Just about ALL your extensions are disabled

Majority of the people, i for one, use google chrome to browse the internet. Only a few would be affected by this and not that they’d care of. Anyway, thanks for the heads up mate. For sure there are firefox users here, they should read this.
If you prefer to use Google Chrome then it doesn't mean that majority of internet users are using the same browser. About 11% of people are using firefox and it is still a big number (also considering that the rest is obviously not using only chrome). And all those browser extansions (with the ones that are related with security) are its main advantage. So thanks OP for the warning!

I'm using firefox but I don't see any warning about extensions I'm using some extension with the security-related plugin but they are not disabled.

However, when I used TOR yesterday there's a warning popup on the top of the tor browser my no script extension is currently disabled but it is a normal extension for a TOR browser.  
So I think only TOR browser are affected?

I noticed that uBlock is missing from my Firefox yesterday, so I check what is going on since every add-ons I try to install was failed. I just follow instruction from Mozilla posted in OP, and fix problem just by allowing Firefox to run studies. After that uBlock is enabled again in browser and everything works normally.

It is never pleasant when these things happens, but we are witnessing that such things happen even to the biggest companies. About a month ago Chrome had a serious security problem, so there is no perfect browser.

Thanks for the warning. Firefox stated that an automatic fix should be rolled-out shortly, or may have already. I checked on my browser and it seems to have gone through. In order to check:

- Type the following into the url bar: about:studies
- If the fix has been installed, you should see an entry stating something like this:

This is a hotfix that updates an intermediate certificate used for signing add-ons. It is one of the mechanisms used to fix bug 1548973.

What version of Firefox you are using I'm currently using Firefox 56.0.2 (32-bit) but I don't see any missing plugins in my firefox browser.
Maybe only users who use the latest version of Firefox are affected with this issue?

I'm using it while posting here but I don't find any plugins affected with this issue.

Unlikely. This is an issue on Firefox's back end. I guess this happened more with people who had to update or install new add-ons.

I haven't noticed anything on my Firefox. I used it all day yesterday and all add-ons are OK (nothing really happened).
Firefox performs a certificate check once every 24 hours. It is possible that you were simply lucky in that the bug first developed and your browser automatically downloaded the temporary "studies" hotfix in under 24 hours, before a check was performed which invalidated all your add-ons. As you say, this affected all versions of Firefox.

If anyone's add-ons still aren't working, make sure you don't have studies disabled by checking under Tools -> Options -> Privacy & Security.

I also haven't noticed nothing strange on Firefox, all my installed add-ons works fine. But thanks for warning OP!

You're wrong by saying that only few people may be affected. Firefox is 3rd most popular browser in the world with 6%-7% share of market - it's not small numbers. Actually, I expected that they have bigger number of users and I didn't imagined that Chrome have such big dominance with over 61% of users choosing this browser.
Anyway, number of users is irrelevant when it comes to security issues.

Unfortunately we know that the majority of the general population don't, and are more than happy to share every intimate details of their lives on social media and let Facebook quite literally track their movements and record their conversations, but you would expect people who are interested in decentralized money to at least care a little about this stuff.

Chrome tracks everything you do online and sends it all back to Google for analysis. If you have a Google account, all that data is linked forever against your real name.

Glad I don't use Chrome, I'm also not a fan of getting always the fastest and most advertised products. These features are not the ones to look at, some like privacy are more important and only considered by a few users I have the impression.
The big tech companies use their market position for their own profit often we should not forget that.

If anyone's add-ons still aren't working, make sure you don't have studies disabled by checking under Tools -> Options -> Privacy & Security.

I can't find the "studies" under privacy and security I am currently having issue enabling my important extension that I use for how many years.

I tried reading some links above but I can't find the solution.

but instead of Active on the side of hotfix it shows remove and I tried removing it and the studies under privacy and security still not showing.

Wow this is quite crazy incopetence out there. For such big company, so big mistake is rare.
everyone should notice this, extra caution is needed now, shame on them actually

Thanks for sharing this, i use Firefox on my mobile phone, i only have some addon where i can check my password saved, but i will disable it temporary and i will use without addon.

Just about ALL your extensions are disabled
There's an update on the site that says users can now re-enables the extensions. I would suggest just don't use extensions if isn't necessary especially if you're using the browser for dealing trades and transfer in crypto wallets.

I can't find the "studies" under privacy and security I am currently having issue enabling my important extension that I use for how many years.

I tried reading some links above but I can't find the solution.

Click on Options -> Privacy&Security -> Scroll down to -> Firefox Data Collection and Use -> Allow Firefox to send technical and interection data to Mozilla, this will automatic enable studies.

I am using Firefox Quantum and update is released today, latest version is 66.0.4. To manually update click Help -> About Firefox.

Thanks for the updates I used firefox before but it consumes a lot of memory on my old desktop and I already switched to Brave browser because of ad-blocking feature its a good alternative to firefox for those who still has problems.
