Also, this event is going to be good. I've got Gaethje against Oliveira which might be surpriging to some. I just find that while Oliveira is exceptional when it comes to the ground game, he gets clipped way to often in previous fights, something you can't do against Gaethje.
For me Oliveira is like Khabib, but with much worse defensive skills. Olivera over the time has improved his striking and defence, but still not enough. He has learned head moves to avoid jabs, but he is really bad when his opponent attacks on different levels. If his opponent does 3 strikes to the head and swings to make a fourth strike, then Oliveira practically would never defend his body. As a native BJJ fighter, he is very good on striking, but defence is his weak point. His really takes a lot of damage. With Gaethje, and his low kicks, that might not be good. However Poirier is counted to be a good striker, but he had lost to Oliveira. Not sure if you can call Oliveira is like Khabib, different styles but they both have elite submission skills. I do agree that Oliveira has somewhat worse defensive skills. And not only that, he's kinda chinny. The pick is Oliveira to win but I wouldn't mind gambling a little something something for the Gaethje KO prop. Edit: Typos. Oliveira sure isn't Khabib, you'll never see him blast a double leg from the middle of the octagon I'd say Olivs was more chinny a couple of years ago than he is now, but even looking to his last losses, he hasn't had any KOs or TKOs that we would consider to be due to a glass jaw (the Felder's elbows are not something Geathje can pull of and before that, it was just a matter of getting rocked), so while that might be a concern, I wouldn't say that's the biggest factor.

If we look at the Poirier vs Justin fight, that was also a very close fight despite Poirier getting the win. Poirier was rocked a few times, and I'm not sure if Olivera has the chin that Poirier does. Also, I do think Justin has improved since, and will be looking to prove that this event. Olivera only chance of surviving would be going for the take down as soon as he's hurt, I don't see him not getting hurt at least once in this fight, and it all depends on how he manages that. If he doesn't deal with it well, i.e go for the take down, then I'd say that's game over. The thing with Poirier, he was willing to take the shots, and also swang, and bang, which lead to a bit of a stalemate, Olivera doesn't do that as much, at least not with the same amount of threat.
It'll be interesting, he haven't seen Justin dominated on the ground except for Khabib. So, whoever wins this fight, their stock increases I think. Olivera less so, obviously.

What about Chandler vs Ferguson fight? A farewell fight for Tony? He has not won since 2019. 3 straight losses and his opponent is one of the toughest in division. On the other hand, Chandler is not in a better position. 2 losses in a row. People make fun buy saying that he has more kids than wins in UFC lol (he has adopted new kid two weeks ago). I always find it strange, that Chandler has wrestling background, but prefers to exchange strikes. Tony is also a fan of using such tactics. If there will be a possibility to bet on Ferguson face to be a bloody mess, I would bet and win this bet this weekend. Both do have a wrestling background but they prefer using strikes, I really think they only used those takedowns when the opponent got an upper hand in striking, but even though they don't usually use those ground moves, they surely can win via submission, so both must look out for those takedowns, and if this is a farewell fight for Tony Ferguson, then Tony must win this so he can have a good time moving on to other stuff, Ferguson is recently active his last fight and that is May 15, 2021, while Chandler November 6, 2021, so I guess Michael Chandler needs to familiarize again but judging from Chandler I really think he doesn't need those kind of things, well this is a very interesting fight and I will look for further details on their old fights. That is for sure, Khabib is genuine in my opinion, while I really don't want to compare them because they are not similar, well, Charles Oliveira is not looking tough anymore, not like in his recent years, but he can still execute pretty much crazy stunt to pull off a submission because his opponent pretty much has the advantage when it comes to striking, but Justin Gaethje is pretty much good at knocking out his opponent or he can also go the distance from round 4 to 5, and win it by decision, but I would not underestimate Charles Oliveira just yet,

Yeah, I agree to an extent, but we'll probably see Tony looking to stand up, and Chandler will mix it up like he usually does. Chandler wins fights via pressure, constant pressure. I don't expect anything different so while he will definitely be looking for the knockout, he'll be shooting for take downs, and there will likely be a bit of grappling mixed in. I can see Tony going to another organisation if the UFC aren't willing to offer him another contract, which I do doubt. Think he probably still has some fights in him, despite his dwindling ability, and obviously his age catching up with him. He just comes across as a man that loves the sport, and will probably be doing it for much longer than he really should be. Ultimately, for this fight I don't see anything, but a Chandler win.

Check out recent Tony Ferguson photo few days before fight against Chandler. You know what I dont like about this picture ? There are no sparkles in Tony's eyes (and there are lots of pictures of smiling Chandler in UFC instagram). He looks old, and tired. I dont know how is he going to win with such attitude. I expect a hard beating for Tony. It will be hard to watch, as he wont tap.

I do believe Chandler will win against Tony Ferguson, but I think this odds are just not right. Ferguson is always serious, he doesn't smile much before matches, and he is not going to give up easy. I am predicting this to be long distance fight and it will go all three rounds, and this is best bet in this fight. I personally won't be reading much into this. Although, I don't expect Ferguson to win in the first place, so there's that. However, this might just be one of those things in the contract where they have to pose for a picture, and post it to their social media. A lot of the fighters aren't to keen on doing things like this for the media, obviously there are those that thrive on it, but Ferguson doesn't really strike me as one of them, and never has. Whereas, Chandler does like to play up to the camera a little more. Again, wouldn't let this influence me on betting.

That is a guy who is ready to retire, I don't see any passion anymore and he already knows that this is his last fight, that is why I really don't expect much from him, I will surely bet for Chandler if this is what I am seeing on Tony Ferguson's side, but my main focus will be on Charles Oliveira vs Justin Gaethje, and with the woman's strawweight Rose Namajunas vs Carla Esparza I will surely give my picks later,

~ and I'm not sure if Olivera has the chin that Poirier does.
Maybe not the same but he's got chin too. Looking back at his first title defense, Charles has taken some clean shots from Dustin.
I'm just going for gut feel this time and throw some money on Tony Ferguson @3.6 If he could survive the first two rounds without taking serious damage, he should be fine. I think he's got better cardio and he could capitalize on that in the later rounds.

Yeah, I think he has a chin, I mean the way he fights means if he didn't have a chin, he wouldn't have been champion anytime soon. So, by me saying he's a little chinny, maybe the opposite is true; he just leaves himself so exposed at times, it seems like he might be a little chinny, but ultimately he's very good at surviving those moments. Having said that, I do see him getting rocked at least once against Justin like I said. I rewatched the Poirier vs Justin fight the other night just for comparison. Both ultimately got rocked a few times. I'm feeling a Chandler decision to be honest, despite the odds against it. Tony knows how to survive, and while he has been stopped more recently, I'm not sure if Chandler will have the power. He definitely does have the constant pressure though, so it's a risky bet, but with the odds right now a favourable one.

Yup, and that organization would be BKFC Maybe Eagle would be putting up some interest for him, but PFL has a way too much strong competition and for some reason, Bellator and ONE are just not on the radar for most ex-UFC fighters. That is for sure, Khabib is genuine in my opinion, while I really don't want to compare them because they are not similar, well, Charles Oliveira is not looking tough anymore, not like in his recent years, but he can still execute pretty much crazy stunt to pull off a submission because his opponent pretty much has the advantage when it comes to striking, but Justin Gaethje is pretty much good at knocking out his opponent or he can also go the distance from round 4 to 5, and win it by decision, but I would not underestimate Charles Oliveira just yet,
I'll say it again, I think that whatever Justin does god, Olives does better (except for the knocking out part itself), and not only am I not counting him out, I actually think he will win this. Justin will have issues when the distance is closed for some dirty boxing that Oliveira likes to implement, grappling will be on Oliv's side and even some decent striking could be up to par with Justins.

Tony looks sad because of missing opportunities. He has been a marvellous fighter, but due to controversies with UFC (I remember he had hard times with Dana), he was either inactive for a long period or got opponents that he did not really want or victory over them did not give him much. How many times he had fights against Khabib cancelled? 3? Or, he might be very tired due to weight cutting before this photo set. Or due to all these strikes to the face, he looks older than he really is. I have sympathy to Tony, he is way better and interesting fighter than others in rooster. With his "ready to die in octagon", I feel really pity every time I see his bloody face in octagon.

There is an interesting fight in main event - veteran Maurício Rua (famous for stomp and soccer kicks during Pride) against Ovince Saint Preux (dont really know who he is). Shogun used have 3-4 fights per year, now he is more on the bench. Another talented fighter whose era is about to end. P.S. This is a rematch. In their first fight in 2014 it took Preux 34 seconds to knock Shogun out. Expect same outcome this Sunday

This is a good card, and I haven't seen many getting hyped up for it. Is this event being slept on? There's some awesome fights, even if they're a tad unbalanced. I think the main event speaks for itself, but the Ferguson fight despite probably going to be utter domination, has that sparkle in the eye for being an absolute war. Chandler is capable of a war, and Ferguson almost always puts on a war, mainly because the dude doesn't care much about defense . Fialho - Royval - Chandler at 2.16: 10 USD Add: Ivanov - Namajunas - OSP at 7.13: 5 USD Add: Dumont - Brown at 20.53: 2 USD Add: Godinez - Rodrigues - Roberts at 81.66: 2 USD Add: Lauzon - Gatto - Garcia at 846.87: 1 USD Add: Gaethje at 2108.72: 1 USD Follow or fade but just a little warning... I lost for two straight events now. So it's better to fade. If anyone else needs any more motivation to fade these predictions, I too have the majority of the same picks. I'll be getting mine up either later tonight or tomorrow, but I've got Royval, Chandler, Ivanov, Namajunas, Lauzon, Ovince Saint Preux and Gaethje. I'm still deciding on a few of the other fights.

He will continue to do this until the fans are not happy to watch him anymore. Uncle Dana is very cruel hehehe. It also appears that there is again another very underestimated fighter hehehe. Everyone is cheering for Thug Rose, however, we have forgotten that the wrestler Carla Esparza has defeated thug Rose before. This was many years ago and there might be improvements on Rose, however, we have witnessed during Rose vs. Weili that there might not be improvements in wrestling for Rose. Weili made 5 takedowns during that fight. Carla Esparza might make more takedowns and have more time in controlling Rose on the ground.

I'm actually not a big fan of thug rose, probably due to not being American, and she's quite a heavy favourite over there. However, I'm going for her on my predictions simply because I believe the momentum she has, might just be enough to get her the win. Whereas, my predictions which I'll post up tonight I'll probably include a note, that I'll actually be putting Carla on my betting slip, since I believe she more, than enough has what it takes, and the odds are looking rather tasty from a betting perspective. Carla isn't any slog on the feet either in my opinion, could be a decent match up, and a challenging night for both ladies.

Oliveira and Gaethji shook hands at faceoff. I am impressed. No hate between two fighters. Rare to see such in title fight. Second title defence for Oliveira, second attempt to get a belt from Gaethji. Interesting.
If Oliveira wins, we are going to see Gaethji vs Poirier winner meets winner of Makhachev vs Dariush?
Just notice, why Dariush is so high in top? He beat Ferguson last year, fought Ferreira same year, who is top15. Did not face anyone from top before that

^ Def the winner of Makhachev vs Dariush. But let's face it, it's gonna be the Khabib protege. It's going to be a good match up with both negating each other's skills.

Uh... -_- Jfc I got Namajunas in my second from the top ticket... I wouldn't give your post much weight if you didn't get the Yan vs Sterling match right to the dot. It was a co main event too. Lmao. It could be a sign. But we'll see. I think Namajunas has improved by a lot more than Esparza since the loss. Anyway, here's the live weigh in show in case you guys have nothing better to do. Oliveira missed weight by 0.5 pound so he has been stripped of the title. So if he wins he has to fight for the belt. Who does he need to fight so to get that shot at it again? This is very strange. Cause they allow him to fight even without the title to contend with.
