Why is it looking that SA will get over 300 runs in this match against Aus? If they do get, it will be tough to chase down 300+ total for Aus but still can't say.

Certainly it seems so. But I think Australia is very much capable of even chasing 350+ runs.

~snip~

Careful what you wish for, Cricket is very funny game Tongue

Yes it is but somehow cricket likes to make the South African the joker :-P

Du Plessis got out at the wrong time. Roll Eyes

Target revised, should reach at least 325-330 runs.

Maxwell's last over give me some hope now they can cross 330+ and this could be very tough to chase and now India can hope for First position and semi final with New Zealand.

Strac bowling atm and he has 2 more over left after this. he can ruin the party for proteas.

Snip

deadley : Pitch might get slow during the 2nd inning. No team successfully chase down a big total in this world cup  so far,  if Australia manages to do that, then it would be great to watch.

This match pitch is fresh, so it won't slow down much, mostly match happened in used pitch that's why chasing on those pitches were very hard

I did not saw any slowness in pitch yet, I am still going with Australia, they just need to play carefully first 10 overs, in middle overs there won't be much problem if they will have wickets in hand.

Australia 5 for 1. Liked it. Will SA beat Australia today? SA played with much confident today. I would be happy to see India at the top.
India is going to have a easy win today. Rohit will break the record of Sachin which I will not like at all.

they should get atleast 335-345 runs from here. still 9 overs to go and they are lucky because Dhoni is not in their team lol

Dhoni lovers sorry, I am a fan as well Cheesy

Dhoni is in only India's team who won us the WC so I won't share him with others -:P

Aussies lost 1 wicket. I hope for more wickets now atleast 1 more before the 10th over. It makes no difference to India playing against Eng or NZ as they lost against both lol

As I was typing this, second wicket gone. Yay!

Lol Dhoni is not alone who won India world cup alone. Before Dhoni, India won the world cup in 1983 in the captaincy of Kapil Dev. Every Indian know this, how you miss this vital information about Indian Cricket history.

I know that India has won twice. I wanted to write that Dhoni was the captain of the Indian team in 2011 when India won the WC and still it's not Dhoni alone but since he was the captain, he is an asset to the India cricket team but still Sachin was given the credit that time because it was his last WC.

If I look at the current situation of both matches, then it appears to me that we are going to witness Aus vs Eng and Ind vs NZ in the semis. or is it too early to say?

India already had a good start. Surprisingly KL is still at the crease, didn't expect that from him.

South Africa is heading towards Big total as well. 215/2, 35.2 overs as I write this, Excellent!!

deadley : Pitch might get slow during the 2nd inning. No team successfully chase down a big total in this world cup  so far,  if Australia manages to do that, then it would be great to watch.

India have comfortably won their game against Srilanka, it was another dismal performance from Srilankan team. All credit goes to team India for the way they dominated Srilanka team right from the start, and now we will come to know who will India face Newland or England in the semis. Australia have lost three wickets already but I yet would not count them out as Warner is yet playing, and South Africa players are known to choke when it matters the most.

Not sure about these teams but Afghanistan is better team than current Zimbabwe and Kenya. I see these days Netherlands defeat Zimbabwe. I never heard of this Netherlands team before. https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/_/id/19062/zim-in-ireland-and-nl-2019

Zimbabwe used to be a team who were better than Bangladesh teams once. So does Kenya.

I never mentioned anything about Netherlands.

and Netherlands competes in cricket as Holland probably that is the reason you never noticed them before. They have been part of many CWC tourneys before. They now enjoy full ODI status and will continue to have this status at least till 2022 CWC qualifiers.

Yeah cricket used to be pretty big among the dutch in the earlier times. They were tall opponents that the English always feared facing. And their status as full time ODI playing team has been unstable, largely thanks to the  popularity of football, all the money is in that game for now. Although cricket in Netherlands is getting back to prominence thanks to T20. No one's got time for a 8 hour long match these days.

The SA vs AUS match is getting interesting as it may decide who, England will play on the Semi.
I already had my fixtures here

Your predictions got wrong as we are now having NZ VS Ind in the semi final 1.  This means that we will see England and India in the finals.

~snip~

Lol. Won't they have roy in their team for the final match ?

Yes he will but Roy is not bigger than their history :-P

Yes, but the history does not repeat itself if the tournament is a fixed one and that too in the favor of England.

Yeah, right? Indians, Aussie and in some extent kiwis just there for sightseeing Cheesy

Out of 4 teams, only Kiwis looking weak but anything could happen in semis, don't forget its knock out game, one big inning and one bowling spell can change and ruin the party for the opposition team.

Very beautiful figure belongs to Shakib in this world cup. A very underrated player in World cricket IMO. I genuinely believe MOS belongs to this guy, top of that I want Sunrisers Hyderabad to raise his paycheck now, maybe add million or so.

The Hitman is another contestant if India Wins Cheesy dude already got 5 tons so far and 2 more match left ( Assuming India playing final lol )

If Hitman is to get the prize, I guess he must have scored at least 150 more run within next 2 match. Total score of Rohit is 647 while Shakib has 607, close enough. I'm a supporter of India, but if Hitman has a good chance if India can play the final, I wouldn't bother to support kiwis to reach the final  Cheesy
Isn't India playing against Kiwi?

Yeah

Ind Vs Nz
Aus Vs Eng

One interesting fact.

In 2008 U19 world cup semi-final, Virat Kohli was the Captain of India, and Williamson led the Kiwis. Once again, after 11 years both players leading their respective countries against each other in the semifinal Smiley

Lol. Very true. He just keeps going on and on about some stupid conspiracy theory which is silly to say the least. Everyone knew that India and England were hot favorites to win this tournament and nothing has changed yet.

Out of 4 teams, only Kiwis looking weak but anything could happen in semis, don't forget its knock out game, one big inning and one bowling spell can change and ruin the party for the opposition team.
As I expected, South Africa was able to play to their full potential without the qualification pressure which was good enough to help them win against Australia. Funny seeing so many people thinking that South Africa will definitely lose this one.

This is how sports betting works. The underdogs do come out winning now and then people.

And India won the match, I guess the same will happen again. NZ isn't going to have a good performance with their bat, they are worse in batting to be honest. However, I would be happy to see a competitive match.

India won twice, Aus 5 times, WI twice and Pak once. So NZ and Eng have never ever won the cup despite of reaching finals thrice. NZ lost last WC so they will be more desperate this time and England too.

I hope NZ maintain their bad form as when they play good cricket, most teams lose the matches. Cheesy

New Zealand has good seam bowling, I just hope weather won't be cloudy so they won't get any swing. If they will get swing, just expect so much drama in match.
New Zealand showed that in practice match before world cup and won against India.
