I didn't watch the first innings of the match on TV but kept on looking the score time to time. They way India started they should have easily finished above 350 or above.
Bangladesh has good batting form but they have lost 2 wickets. Shakib will now have to make a big century like sharma , if they are to win this match.

Regardless of the win or lose here by Bangladesh, i think this is their best team ever. They have play good cricket and a couple of time scored above 300.
Its early to say but India may win this one. They are losing wickets too quickly and they cant afford to relax when the score is above 300 to chase. Also they have the elimination pressure and scoreboard pressure.

Despite having continuous off form, Tamim still managed to play in the team by the grace of Akram Khan, the cheif selector of BCB, uncle of Tamim Iqbal and Nafees Iqbal, a formar cricketer of Bangladesh.
I can't remember to see such a player who never played without opening. Sachin, Sehwag, even with huge form Usman Khawaja also changing their position. But BCB never tried to play him in other position even if he isn't in form.
We have option like Mithun, Liton Das at opening but couldn't make it because of Tamim and his uncle's politics.

He played his part as usual. We lost early wickets in the middle, carelessly given wicket by Liton and Mushfiq, they could have played better innings. Our hope for has gone as well with this loss.

You probably have no idea what you are talking about. Go and check previous cricket discussion thread, I said before losing team Bangladesh. It's nothing new. Tamim is better now than couple of years ago (I can't remember) when he used to get duck.

In addition, Royse bhai said dropping catch is a part of game to pffrt. Trust me, if the player was anyone else, I wouldn't mind but when it's Tamim, I can't resist myself saying some stupid words.

Well forcing one end with good experience and better in batting to rotate the strike and target the one with the loose end/inexperienced always works out and this is what happened.

Eitherway it was a good match and well played Bangladesh.

I think at this point India need to tweak their middle order and test some batsman. Everything is working out for them except for their middle order. Today also most of them struggled with slow deliveries. I think next match is the perfect opportunity to lay out a chance to others and find someone fit before semis.

Yeah, middle order combination troubling me as well along with Indian team not making enough run in the death overs despite getting an excellent start, as the tournament proceeds towards Semis. It could be hectic for team India.

I am puzzled with middle order.

1. Rishab Pant: Not playing according to his reputation, he made 30-40 runs, which is not sufficient tbh. If he can produce at least 1 big inning or 60-70 odd runs in next 2 games then all good for India because he's a very destructive batsman.
2. Dhoni: not looking in good touch so far.
3. Jadav: not satisfied how Virat used him so far. If he's not bowling a couple of overs, then his place is not justified in the playing X1.
4. Pandaya: He's critical for India, and he's proving his worth no doubt. Plus point is, he's finishing his bowling quota.

Options :

1. Dinesh Kartik: India could try him at no 4 but at this stage, Management doesn't trust on him much.
2. Jadeja: India should try him at no 7 as an all-rounder in place of Kedar Jadhav. Left hand batsman+ bowling option, the best fielder in the Indian squad.

KL Rahul is not looking confident as well. don't know management will try Mayank or not. as of now india should stick with Rahul.

I would like to see ravindra jadeja in playing squad and extra spinner or seamer according to conditions.

Till now Jadeja has received a very harsh treatment from the selectors. They persisted with players such as Kedar Jadhav and Vijay Shankar even after repeated failures. I don't know what prevented them from giving a chance to Sir Jadeja. But rather than getting depressed, he made use of whatever opportunity that was available. The catch that he took to dismiss Jason Roy was a splendid example.

Jadeja would be a perfect replacement of Kedhar Jadav yesterday. Like as JSRAW said, there's no meaning of
playing him unless he is not bowling couple of overs.

Australia and India are through though I would like to see India on top of the table. England and New Zealand are playing a quarter-final today and I bet on New Zealand(Risky), but I believe in their bowling lineup.

Pakistan is almost out of the race and need a miracle if they wish to qualify since their NRR is pretty horrible currently. Their game against Afghanistan provided them an opportunity to improve their NRR, but they failed to do so. We are at the end game(Group stages) now people.

In specific Shakib-Al-Hassan is the key player who took Bangladesh to such a level. He performed well on the batting lineup as well on bowling. The combined effort has given them a satisfaction, another team that has progressed good is Afghanistan. They too played good cricket against every team, particularly the game against India and Pakistan were in their hands. End of the game the lack of experience made them loss.
