In any top university around the world plagiarism will get you expelled. Why would this be different here? You got expelled from the forum. No one is killing anybody here.

Plagiarism is wrong everywhere. There is a huge difference between making an unintentional mistake and stealing content. You knew that what you were doing was wrong.
