Books or YouTube videos?

Everything depends on the thing you want to learn and the current level of your knowledge. For example if you really want to get some deep knowledge in some fields then you definitely have to read books. Scientists are writing books about topics that are described on Wikipedia with a couple of sentences. So in this case books are really more informative.
But the other thing is if you are not understanding some particular topic during your university studies then you got pretty big chances to find something simple and understandable on YouTube.

In reading we can catch many things but in videos we can also pick up things so better have them both

I remember that I used to watch videos explaining advanced maths when I was preparing for exams on YT. For example, I love Kurzgesagt channel and their approach for science. Books are something completely different, they are almost as old as civilization and it's difficult to compare them with YT. Both mediums can lead to some great knowledge, as well as - entertainment too.

But there are books that is written and copied tru internet so we can also access,and I believe that some of them are in YouTube also.

The thing is both are knowledgeable if we only know how to handle and to use them

It depends, when I've got a lot time e.g. holidays or sth I prefer to read books calmly, but during terms, when I am busier I choose YT videos, movies, series etc.

YouTube videos are surely a better way of learning for most people and that's because its easier to listen to something instead of reading it. The same works with audio books and we can already see that people start to prefer then more than normal books in the recent years. YouTube is a great resource for learning new things but books should not be put away because you can't find everything on YouTube while you also can't find anything in books. As a conclusion you need both of them.

Prefer youtube vidoes because you can listen and multi task.  I guess you could also do the same with audio books but its hard to get an audio file for the more rare books.

I definitely go with the YouTube videos because I am not very intelligent to read the books so in this case the YouTube videos really helpful for not only me but also lot of people likely to understand very well.

All this depends on what you want to learn or know, because in my case I support both, both in books and YouTube videos, but if you can first the books educate you more directly, learn quickly and logically form fast your arguments to be able to have criteria when you try to learn by watching YouTube videos, because you will know when an information is real or not, if you do not have the possibility of going to read books, because you do not want other than to accept the videos that are put to that you begin to educate, always with some distrust because the knowledge that you of another person that is foreign must have something of distrust.

You don't have to be intelligent at all to read books, you only need to know how to read. I know you are not referring to the fact that you are not such intelligent to be able to read a book but really books are for everyone and not only smart people have to read them. There are book written on every kind of subject available out there in the world and you have plenty to choose from.

If you ask this thread before 10 years, then definitely i said that books are very helpful and useful. But now time has been changed, and it is very fast time, everyone want to learn anything in a short time. Hence YouTube is much better than books, we just click on YouTube and find anything with practically.

Both are very useful for me and since I learned most through reading some time I preferred ebooks or book to add knowledge to what I know. YouTube is good when you need practical knowledge about something as the video shows enable to get indept ideas on what we need to learned.

I think You tube is best and easy way to know something about anything. searching out of book and read out is also consider has good. but i prefer You tube in these days

watching videos is better for me because I am lazy to read books. 

but once you read the books only you can and learn more than the YouTube videos because the people who are doing and making the videos like this by the inspiration of reading books that's why I asking this question.

For me I choose youtube because one click and you will learn easily.you can find an answer to what you wanted to learn.not just one option but more option you can choose what ever you been search for.unlike books only one mind by the author you will learned for.Its up to you what you want to use to earn knowledge but for me now I choose youtube.

I like to watch more youtubevideos than reading books because I am not comfortable with reading the books so if someone explain me directly then will it will be easy to understand show more than the books the YouTube videos will definitely helpful for me to understand better.

I think Book is better then youtube video when you read the book to learn effectively, so the book is the best.

Video watching still works for me . Combining both works better though.

Especially in tutorials where you need to do something (e.g. carpentry, cooking, sewing, etc), youtube videos are better.  However, if you just need the theories and concepts and fundamentals, books are wonderful tool to have. 

But the best part is that you can combine the two (2) to easily acquire knowledge.
