Electrum - 12 word key entered and can't click next

As the the subject says I forgot my password so got my seed from the cloud but when I enter it into Electrum I can't select next.

You either got the wrong seed or chose the wrong option (should be "Standard wallet" > "I already have a seed").
Check if all the words match with the ones listed at https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/tree/master/lib/wordlist.

I compared my seed with the list and all the words are there...I triple checked when writing it down.

Maybe there is a typo or other spelling mistake. Please check it again.

It happens only in my wallet if I got a wrong word or maybe mistyped the sequence that I can not continue on accessing my wallet. If it still doesn't work try closibg electrum and open it again ang try entering your word list again.

I have this same problem.

I have the seed written down and saved and have entered it many times but the next button remains greyed out.

I have restored this wallet before so i am sure this is the seed phrase! some of the words in my phrase are in that big master list, but others arent. It was Electrum that generated the seed, i am using version 3.3.6

Any help would be much appreciated.

Double check the words, the spelling has to be 100% correct and not a single word can be typed incorrectly.
If you used Electrum to create the seed make sure that you don't select BIP39 from the the options menu.

Can you verify that all words can be found in the electrum word list (https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/blob/master/electrum/wordlist/english.txt) ?
If one word can't be found in this list, search for similar ones inside of the list. In this case you got a word wrong.

If multiple words are not in this list, chances are high you got a BIP38 seed. In this case, please check whether all words are in the BIP39 word list (https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/blob/master/electrum/wordlist/english.txt).
The same applies, if you are missing one word, check for similar ones.
