Hello,

I have noticed that popular exchanges like kraken, binance have no stop loss limit.
There is only sell/buy limit. What exchanges support Stop Loss?

Bitmex and Bitfinex both support every type of stop loss order (stop market orders, stop limit orders, and trailing stops).

I suggest sticking with stop market orders unless you know what you're doing. If you set your trigger too narrowly on a stop limit order, it may not execute. Then you get margin called. Wink

How about poloniex and bittrex? I think you need to check both exchanges because I see that in poloniex, the stop-loss limit is available too. But I think in every exchange the stop loss limit will be available too because that is a function that will help traders to prevent from the big loss and they can use it in every time they trade.

Every exchange has either a stop loss limit or stop loss.

Kraken supports stop loss and does not have the stop limit function.

I think the more experienced traders prefer stop loss over stop limit as it guarantees order placement in all situations especially high volatile moves

I don't get you! Are you saying binance has no stop loss limit? I just used that now to lockin my profits from yesterday gain. Maybe you should do more research on this as I cannot give you full details on stop loss at binance but I learned how to used from steemit. Pokoniex were I also do trade has stop loss order limit.

Yes, binance has a "stop loss", but it is a "market stop loss". The OP is asking about a "limit stop loss", which binance has not, but bitmex has, as explained by @exstasie in the post above.

To be clear, "market stop loss" is executed similar to a "market order", while "limit stop loss" is executed like a "limit order", if you are getting what I want to say.

Bitmex has extreme candle wicks in every direction every now and then due to liquidations happening and just the fact that there's a lot of highly leveraged traders on Bitmex. I would never use a limit stop on the site, always go with a market stop on Bitmex. Massive squeezes and cascading market stops mean the price can extremely easily skip over your limit stoploss and it never executes.

Now there are enough exchanges that use stop-loss features, Binance and Bittrex as far as I know, have been installed stop-loss.
it's better to avoid relying on the use of features like this, the price can also sometimes bounce back up after touching the stop-limit price. and that can be frustrating.
