Eatalico.it brings Made in Italy to your home, certifying the Italian origin of food and textile products using Blockchain technology.

MISSION
Eatalico's goal is to bring the consumer back to trusting the Made in Italy. Many times he is faced with counterfeits and falsifications, a real haemorrhage of products made in Italy. Within this boundless confusion, he does not have the means to recognize the true origin of his purchases. Eatalico intends to answer precisely to this widespread uncertainty, through the development of multiple platforms. Some of these certify - through the immutable blockchain system - the origin of the product, others promote it. In fact, if the consumer no longer has the security of the product, the confidence in the Made in Italy also decreases, and consequently this last loses its value. Eatalico, therefore, restores confidence to the consumer, who will finally be able to return to taste and dress, feel and experience the most authentic made in Italy, with the guarantee of not being cheated or deceived.
How will the customer obtain these guarantees? Through a special app, easy to use, with which  he can scan Qr code, and so have an eye on all the information related to the origin of the product (inserted in due time by the manufacturer on blockchain), processing steps, organoleptic properties, even to the identity and the history of the producer.
Defending Made in Italy means carrying out a long-delayed cultural revolution. We took this mission to heart and we will work hard to accomplish it with passion and seriousness.

This is quite an issue for all the systems which promise to trace the life of any product infact. When the product is ready there is no way for the customer to be able to confirm it's original based solely on what is in the blockchain and i never heard anything convincing on how to tie everything togheter either.

I guess in here as well, you will have to trust blindly what is written in the blockchain. Otherwise they will become trillioner with this idea. 

Yeah, but if the things are not done right one can end up boycotting the products from a honest farm because somebody "stole" their QR codes.


There are possible solutions for handling the counterfeits too, but they are not perfect and need help from the merchants or customers.
That's why I was asking OP...

Oh well, maybe I'm overthinking it. Time will tell / validate (or not) their approach.

To avoid re-use of the Qr code of one product on another, the consumer will have the task of recording the "consumption" and the product will be "consumed" if the same QR code is re-scanned. This will expose a fraud occurring on the part of the producer.
The final consumer is encouraged to record the final step in the life of the product by receiving a small bonus to be used as a discount for the next purchase.
